Report: Trump preparing ‘dramatic’ blueprint of intense budget cuts

Think bigger

Today, Democrats are quaking in their jackboots. It’s bad enough that their messiah is about to leave D.C., but they’re also facing a new government that’s openly hostile toward most of their goals. On top of that, we’re getting word that the nascent Trump administration has “dramatic” plans to trim the federal fat. This news will, as will most news concerning Trump, have lefties curled up in a ball in the corner, shaking their fists as the sky.

It does not help your argument to over exaggerate. The pentagon budget is not Trillions, or even a Trillion. And I believe it was State dept that lost several billion.

Defense is one of the few constitutionally authorized Fed Govt expenditures. Social programs are not. Foreign aide is not. I am fine with cutting fat everywhere, but start with our welfare/redistribution systems.

Thanks for the link to that article from The Hill. It contained a reference to the true source of much of the budget plan at The Heritage Foundation. I had seen it previously but was good to review.

Good explanation. I hated when GWB did his whole song and dance about only going after discretionary spending when he was growing the government by leaps and bounds.

I have faith in Trump. He’ll go after the easy stuff first, and then tackle the bigger stuff later once he’s demonstrated his success.

You don’t read much do you.

http://www.thefiscaltimes.com/2016/07/31/Pentagon-s-Sloppy-Bookkeeping-Means-65-Trillion-Can-t-Pass-Audit

Try an online news article. The words go from left to right.

What do you consider 6.5 TRILLION not being able to pass an audit to mean?

Like I said, reading is fundamental.

Ok, you want to be a snark.

First, the pentagon budget is about 600Bil a year.

Then you say I don't read because you found some hit piece click bate sight you want me to link to, all the while going “Nananana, I read. You don't”

Then you want to justify the original accusation by the hit piece article.

I will note that at 600Bil a year, it would take at least 10 years for the Pentagon to lose 6 Trillion. You are dense if you think this article doesn't have major holes, or that its not a political hit piece. So you must have woke up on the cranky side of bed to take me to task for not reading this tripe.

And by the way, a lot of defense dedicated money has been siphoned away from defense programs over the last 8 years, by the Obama admin. I have no doubt that some of the money was basically stolen and would raise questions in audit.

We will save a few billion a month just not having Obama fly around the world fundraising... I mean doing important presidential duties.

Inspector

General for HUD budget year 9-30-2015 said that he could not get proper accounting records or receipts for 47% of that year’s budget... something like $47 BILLION unaccounted for. HUD said it paid out CASH-—and no accounting records confirmed that. Inspector General could not get any help from Obama Admin to chase it all down.

Shrillary cannot account for $6 BILLION connected to IRAN nuclear deals.

Pentagon is another area.

The “Inspector Generals” have to be given more authority & more power to indict the people in charge in all of these departments. I have to account for every penny of the bookkeeping I do for all my clients. Bank reconciliations done every month-—to the penny.

THIS is how you clean out the obama ideologues that have infested the U.S. civil service in all departments: you simply eliminate their positions in the Congressional budget and lay them off. Absolutely no need to actually fire anyone at these lower levels. No fuss, no muss, no lawsuits.
