On top of that, we’re getting word that the nascent Trump administration has “dramatic” plans to trim the federal fat. This news will, as will most news concerning Trump, have lefties curled up in a ball in the corner, shaking their fists as the sky.

My comment is more related to the whole discretionary vs non-discretionary spending BS. About the only thing that is discretionary any more is defense related, so defense is the sucker that has to tighten its belt, while Medicare, Medicaid, welfare, and social programs run amuck. You wont solve our financial problems by focusing on only 10 percent of the budget.
