Think bigger
Today, Democrats are quaking in their jackboots. Its bad enough that their messiah is about to leave D.C., but theyre also facing a new government thats openly hostile toward most of their goals. On top of that, were getting word that the nascent Trump administration has dramatic plans to trim the federal fat. This news will, as will most news concerning Trump, have lefties curled up in a ball in the corner, shaking their fists as the sky.

Here's to hoping that the cuts will come from bureaucracy, and not defense.

If there was no waste, we could cut 50 billion from 600 billion a year easily.
Only recently pentagon said it can’t account for a few trillion. TRILLION

...
Trump has said repeatedly that he wants a strong defense. As far as cutting costs, look at what he’s done with the F35 and AF1 and he’s not even president yet.

We knew all along that to get well we would have to swallow some bad tasting medicine. Get out the big spoon.

We are going to need a lot of former government workers to take up those newly created manufacturing jobs.

What I'd love to hear from him next week:
Good morning. By Executive Order and effective immediately, every federal agency and entity, except the military and INS, has its budget cut by 10%. I expect proportionate reductions in staffing. You will, however, provide the same or better service than you do now with the funds that remain. If you cannot do this, I will replace you with someone who can.
Have a nice day and God bless America.
(Exit stage right...)

My comment is more related to the whole discretionary vs non-discretionary spending BS. About the only thing that is discretionary any more is defense related, so defense is the sucker that has to tighten its belt, while Medicare, Medicaid, welfare, and social programs run amuck. You wont solve our financial problems by focusing on only 10 percent of the budget.
