Online retail giant Amazon was forced to remove a skimpy low-cut black dress, complete with veil, advertised on its website as a “ladies sexy Saudi burka Islamic costume,” after scores of infuriated users labeled it “racist” and “disgusting.” .comCustomers outraged by Walmart’s Israeli soldier Halloween costume Online shoppers surfing Amazon’s UK website for new ideas for upcoming Halloween dress-up parties stumbled upon the garment on Thursday. The mini-dress priced at £18.99 ($23) is apparently a take on the conservative Arab women’s swimwear, except that it barely covers anything but the face, with a niqab leaving only the eyes visible.
Upon making the find, offended users flocked to the item’s page to vent outrage, accusing the seller of cultural appropriation, racism, and disparaging the Islamic religion.
“Is this some sort of mockery to the religion?” one of the users asked, while another said “it’s not a joke.”
“Whoever you are fear Allah,” the user added.

That reminds me of a time in Tulsa when we went to the mall and walked through the underwear section of a department store. There were big posters of women modeling bras on the wall, and one of the kids said, “Look, that lady is going to her dance class!” and another said, “No, I think she’s going to feed her baby.”

Years ago, before the first inkling that moslems hated us, we were VERY tolerant about their culture. We incorporated Hummous and tabouli into out menus, learned traditional dances, dressed in exotic scarves, and generally liked everything eclectic and eastern in our fashions and decor. Even our pop music incorporated Middle Eastern Rhythms (Paint it Black, Time of the Season, even the ending of The WHO’s Baba O’Reilly, etc). Nobody despised or oppressed anybody.
Now I can’t even stand the sight of a veiled woman in a Walmart.
A number of my friends visited Egypt and had a great time. I remember one lady who sold Egyptian items to dancers in the U.S. She said they’d gone to Egypt right after one of the terrorist attacks on tourists: the U.S. embassy gave them a personal armed escort, and the merchants were so excited to see them that they were treated like royalty.
It’s terrible the way things have changed. I used to think, “Okay, do your thing!” when I saw people in Islamic dress. Now, I think, “What the F is *wrong* with you?!?”
Recently, I met a couple in the produce section of Walmart who said they were Christian Iraqi refugees from Mosul. That was very profound. The man said, “Islam has no culture: only blood.”
I think that, because of America’s innocence in this matter, the extreme hatred of these people came as a profound shock. The first inkling was when Sirhan Sirhan murdered RFK, “Because of America’s siding with Israel against the Palestinians”. That had most Americans scratching their heads in bewilderment...You hate us because of THAT????
Then came Airplane hijackings, The Iran Hostages, the first WTC bombing, the USS Cole, and it has been escalating since then.
Some people STILL haven’t figured it out.
They would never listen to the protests of normal people.
I sympathize. It's literally unreal.
I think a similar dynamic is developing with Black Lives Matter and other racist agitation. Reasonable people just can't get their head around it. There's nowhere in the world that black people have the freedom, prosperity, and opportunity they have in the United States. WHY are they declaring that their true identity is as promiscuous, shiftless career criminals, and demanding to be given living conditions like those of Haiti?

When OJ was acquitted in the face of DNA evidence, it opened my eyes to this phenomenon.
