“massive backlash” - meaning one bomb threat. From a jihadi. See how it works?

CAIR - has maybe 50* members. But look how influential.

* - CAIR has more than 50 members. I was using exaggeration to make a point; it’s a small organization. It should be ignored.

I guess I was busy then. It didn’t really click with me until now.

But, at least, it clicked!

Some folks will never see it.

I think the counter-argument, “All black people aren’t like that,” works better than the contention that, “All Moslems aren’t like that.” Having African ancestors is an matter of chance, while Islam is a belief.

Some of my Mexican friends have considerable African ancestry - which, among other things, made my choir-lady from Acapulco over six feet tall! - but they don’t have the belief system of “ideological” American black people. And of course, neither do Kenyans, Ugandans, Nigerians, etc.

In summary, “black” tells you less about a person than “Moslem” does.

But sexy nun’s outfits and other trashy Christian stuff is still available.

Offended Christians don't generally show up at corporate offices with AK's when they feel "disrespected".

That’s why we’re so easy. We pray and place flowers at a shooting where they go all nuts and kill more.

It’s a tough situation, anyway. I don’t remember this when I was growing up. I remember the Russians, nuclear war, all that.

My father was a Navy officer for 30 years. I helped him with his writing in the 70s and 80s. We thought a Russian first strike was a reasonable possibility.

Maybe that’s when I learned not to care about death. I certainly don’t now!

My Dad was in the navy too. Vet of WW2 and Korea.

he was also the ship’s photographer.

I grew up gazing at unpublished real photos of the Battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa.

Needless to say, I have a profound respect and love for our Veterans.

Wow. My father joined in the late 50s when they had a pilot cadet program for guys with good hand-eye coordination. It was the best thing possible for him. He wasn’t a hotshot pilot - we went to their funerals - but he was a great officer.
