Would you rather wait for the deliveryman to drive across town with your once hot pizza or snatch it out of a vending machine after its heated for several minutes and delivered to you immediately?
The insanely popular Pizza ATM first came to life this summer at Ohio's Xavier University, answering the prayers of college students everywhere.
Until now, it had been the the first Pizza ATM in North America.
But thanks to one company in Florida, we could see more pizza vending machines nationwide....

Besides the weird stuff, there’s beer, lots of brands of coffee (hot in cold weather and cold in hot weather) tea, soda, Kalpis (say cowpiss). The brand names are pretty funny for an English speaker.

There was a machine at an air show that did just that. In the morning it made omelets then around 11am it converted over to pizza’s ... and they actually tasted quite good.

Since the ‘za takes only two minutes
How lazy are we now that pizza is shortened to one syllable?

I used to be in the wholesale supplier to the vending segment...
Unless the quality and process to make the pizza has changed recently....
Fail...
Pizza is a very hard item to make taste right out of a vending machine...
Unless they literally bake the product right in the machine it will be piss poor quality...
Vending machines basically reheat already made frozen pizza...

Well . . . this isn't the first pizza ATM. There have been other pizza vending machines. I know because I used to sell them. The trouble with the earlier models is that the pizzas were small, about the size of a 45 rpm record (and, I'm going to love the scramble here from those who don't know what a 45 rpm record is), and the pizzas were expensive. That pizza, mostly cheese or cheese and sausage was two bucks.
And, the machine cost about $2,500. With our markup, they were $5,000 plus tax and delivery.

In the mid-80’s here, I heard college kids refer to pizza as ‘za. Fast forward to today, I heard that the BEST pizza joint in town in almost 40 years is closing after this weekend. A medium 14” weighs 10 pounds, no lie! I saw a locally-produced TV commercial that showed it, with the owner proving it out! Not on the cheap, but worth it. And the selling owner won’t sell the sauce recipe with the business... Weird. If yer gonna retire, sell it for a bundle. It’s been a college town favorite since it opened. WTF.

The pizza is not frozen and it is baked when you order it.

The pizza is not frozen and it is baked when you order it. I can, however, be refrigerated, and eaten for breakfast, either cold, or heated up on the charcoal grill.
