I ask Climate Change believers one simple question. (Vanity)

I ask all Climate Change believers one simple question. In parts per million, how much has CO2 in the atmosphere increased in the last 40 years?

All I ever get is the deer in the headlights stare. Not a single one yet has been able to tell me the answer.

I ask all Climate Change believers two simple questions:

1. What is the earth's ideal temperature? 2. Are we getting closer to or further from that ideal temperature? I've never yet had anyone answer either question which proves them incapable of having even a simple conversation about the subject.

A mere 10000 years ago Mammoths, Saber tooth tigers, camels used to roam around what is now Hollywood. They vanished shortly thereafter due to climate change and no one was driving cars.

And argon reflects heat better than CO2.

Not true! Argon is not a greenhouse gas. It is virtually transparent to infrared radiation.

A more fundamental question is simply, “What temperature should it be?” If they can not answer what the optimum temperature should be, how can they conclude it’s either getting too hot or cold?

We often are told about the expected increase of disease and death if temperatures rise a few degrees. I ask them: "If the rise of 5°F is going to lead to all these horrible diseases, how come the disease rate in Sacramento, CA is not higher than in San Francisco though Sacramento has a ~10°F higher mean temperature? Why is the disease rate in Florida lower than in Maine? What is the health risk when somebody from Buffalo goes on vacation in Arizona? How come disease rates are higher in winter than in summer?

The reality is that, if global temperatures rise a few degrees, the only inhabited place in the world that will be hotter than ever experienced before is the currently hottest inhabited place. Other places will simply rise to the temperature of other currently warmer inhabited places.

Just another scare tactic that is easily defeated by simple logic that unfortunately is never practiced by the true believers.

Of course the real scam is the corruption of global surface temperature measurements due to encroachment of heat-generating structures and people on many monitoring stations and the decommissioning of rural and remote stations. Atmospheric temperatures at a few km altitude measured by satellites have not risen over a long time.

None of the measurements matter, whether it is global warming, global climate change, global Fill In The Blank. It is not about anything stated, it is about power and control and the next crisis that can be manufactured to justify more Marxist control over every aspect of the lives of the little people by people who jet around the world violating every restriction they place on the rest of us.

We are in an interglacial period, although it is probably several thousand years too early to tell.

Yep sometimes I tell people we’re going to need global warming sometime in the future so we had better start now.

Ask them another simple question: “Why is warming necessarily 100% bad?”.

It all depends on what kind of warming. If we have milder winters, but summers stay about the same, then that’s “warming”, but not a bad warming. If Canada becomes warmer and suddenly can produce much more agriculturally, is that bad or good?

The “Global Warming” religion is based on the idea that ANY change from the current norm, is necessarily 100% bad.

We are in a two million year ice age and current in an inter-glacial of that ice age.

What if we were overdue for another Ice Age, and "global warming" was the only thing holding it off?

Do your part ‘fire up the grill & cook burgers, steaks & hotdogs!’

Let the rally cry be ‘ More CO2 now!’

The heat island effect is where temperature measuring stations are effected by all the asphalt, roofs and other man made things.
I never hear that discussed.

The Bible provides you far less justification for that imbecilic statement

If you indeed a chemist and a (ahem) scholar, then be sure and point out specifically to whom you are offended by and just which idiotic statement has ruffled your feathers. You address three different people and I may post idiotic statements as often as some people blink.

In the military, we used argon gas to super cool the guidance heads of missiles during testing.

No big deal. The argon gas in cylinders is extracted from the atmosphere.

Think of it as recycling...:^)

The second and third addressees were "FYI" to fellow Bible scholars; beyond doubt they were aware of that.. That leaves you, and you alone, as the target for my disdain.

Should you desire to discuss the matter further, I stand ready.

Shall we start with your "The earth was in a perfect state of equilibrium before Adam ate of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. " claim? (I presume you know your way past the flaming sword...)

Gen. 1:10 "And God called the dry land earth, and the gathering together of the waters, He called seas. And God saw that it was good.
Gen. 2:6 but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the earth.
This mist was in the upper atmosphere and controlled the temperature, humidity and protected from from excessive sun rays. All was in equilibrium.

After the fall of man.
Gen. 3:17 Cursed is the land for your sake.
Gen. 3:19 In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread.
This sweating and spoilage of the land was a new experience. I yield the floor to you.
