It’s a little more serious than that.
Our bodies are made of CO2 that has been pulled from the atmosphere by plants and made into sugars, amino acids, and fats that all life needs to survive.
If the CO2 concentration drops too low, plants cannot pull it out of the atmosphere. If they cannot do that, they die. Some plants are more sensitive than others to low CO2 concentration; they die off first. When the plants die off, the animals and other organisms that depend on consuming plants also die off. The entire food chain is disrupted.
The less CO2 there is in the atmosphere, the less life there can be on Earth. The end of life on earth is forecasted to occur within 100 million to a billion years, depending on how fast the CO2 disappears. And CO2 has been steadily disappearing since life first arose. It is being locked up in mineral forms that living things cannot or are very slow to use. (A link to a scientific article about this is in my profile.)
Putting aside all the hype about “global warming” or “climate change” and looking only at the result if these global warming hysteria mongers were to get their way and institute methods of actively removing CO2 from the atmosphere, the end result would be that life on earth will go extinct much faster than predicted. Since the leaders of a movement are often much more intelligent than the followers, and actually do understand the ramifications of their goals, I suspect that extinction of life *is* their goal. They are empowered by a lot of useful idiot followers.

Now, if you want to know if there is (small c) “climate change,” of course there is. And, it has nothing to do with humans. It has to do with the cyclical nature of the planet, our sun, with solar eruptions likely being the largest factor..
Thanks, holding that in the arsenal. I usually ask them the more basic: what % of the atmosphere is CO2, have not met one yet who knows the answer.

The problem with that is that most gorebull wahruming "believers" have no idea of how to round an ice cube -- much less round a number expressed in powers of ten. '-)
CO2 in the atmosphere constitutes 400 parts per million.
That equates to .04 percent. Or to put it another way, 99.96 percent of the atmosphere is gases other than CO2.

And argon reflects heat better than CO2.

Aren’t all the libs pot heads? Just need to tell them that all the indoor pot growers are opening a bottle of CO2 to keep their plants living in a 700ppm atmosphere... Maybe they will shut the hell up!
