Logan's Roadhouse restaurant chain has filed for bankruptcy.
The filing was made Monday with U.S. bankruptcy court in Wilmington, Delaware. The plan, according to the company is "designed to restructure the company's balance sheet" while providing it with the "capital needed to turnaround operations."
The Nashville, Tennessee-based steakhouse chain best known for its western flair and peanuts on the floor will close 18 restaurants as part of its restructuring. The chain operates 250 locations nationwide, including 23 in Alabama....

There’s been a Logan’s in York, PA for 10 years. We went there for dinner a few months after their opening. Our order was screwed up like a chinese fire drill. The manager was running around giving out free meals to irate customers. We never went back.
We went to the one in Temecula ten years ago, haven’t been back.
I cringed when I saw the teenaged “chef” squash the meat with his spatula as it cooked on the grill.
We eat at our Logan’s often and get good food and usually good service as well! I hope ours doesn’t close!!!!!....
Dittoes here in Johnson City, TN! The steaks are better than Outback.

Well, “reality” insists that “peanut shells” on the floor is framed by my reality (SWMBO) and finds.
Wife and I don’t frequent our local Logan’s (or Texas Roadhouse or Saltgrass) because, well and quite frankly, I can grill the same rib-eye at home. My-own rub and done over both wood and charcoal.
When my DW wonders about going to a local steakhouse, I tell her that I’ll get a steak (her style/cut) and cook it my self with coal-roasted baked russets and corn-on-the-cob.
Child that —right there— is a BBQ steak dinner.
Their $15.99 meal for two deal is great!......
You could buy some peanuts and throw the shells all over the floor for “ambience”............
We try to do this every Friday evening. Play our own music, a few glasses of wine, BBQ a rib-eye, baked potato, salad, then go sit on the couch with the music blaring or turn on a concert from AXS TV! lol
Not a restaurant to visit if you want to carry on conversation, but fun if you’re into the rollicking ambience.
Depends on where we sit. Some tables in front of the bar are quiet...........
As long as Texas Roadhouse isn’t threatened.
Sky high beef prices and rampant peanut allergies were too much for this chain.
We used to go but we have a Texas Roadhouse close which we prefer and there’s nothing in particular that stands out. The food is fine but like other places like Outback ans other similiar places there’s nothing I just must have.
A friend promoted Logan’s to me,I have no plans to try it a second time.Overpriced skimpy with poor service.I miss the real family taverns of my younger days.Ones with good food and the beer was just another part of the meal.
We just finished a "steak" dinner I cooked on the stove with cheap $2.97/lb boneless beef ribs. Not melt in your mouth but tender enough. A whole piece, which I can't finish off, with sides of roasted farm carrots, slaw with everything but the kitchen sink in it and green beans with pecans (off our trees) comes in at $2.15 a plate. Sometimes, I'll include some homemade steakhouse bread. I'm not about to get dressed, drive to a steak house, wait forever for the order, gamble on it even being edible, pay out the wahzoo, tip and then drive home with my entire evening wasted.
Never heard of the chain; I saw that there was one not far from here. Looked on Yelp; 2 stars with many comments about poor service and some about the quality of the food prep.
Looks like I haven’t missed anything, and that they should have the local one on the closing list.
Kroger and Central Market’s prime steaks are head-and-shoulders above most steak restaurants up to the Ruth’s Chris level. Used to enjoy the Carter Green steakhouse at the Island View casino in Gulfport when we lived there, though.
Never been, myself, but 18 closures in a large chain isn’t that much. I hope they pull it together.
me 2!
we always have great food when we go there.
