Looking at the man who asked this question, I won't say he was a plant to throw the presumptive GOP nominee off track, but I will say there are some American voters who do not want to defend Israel anymore, but that won't be the policy of Donald Trump.
This elderly gentleman was able to mention two issues to Trump before he sat down. One of them was about the sanctity of life and which Trump agreed to. The second one is where the man said the following:
I opposed to our wasting our military in the Middle East, on behalf of Zionist Israel, thank you.Trump quickly responded to the second question first, and that's what you'll see in the video below.

Do you think Trump nailed this answer? The media will most definitely try to make something out of it but in our opinion, he did the right thing and gave the right answer.

I will always look to support Israel as an ally. That’s something I was raised up with and I will continue to hold that thinking.
Maybe the elderly gentlemen had a bad date with a jewish girl and he’s mad at the entire state of Israel.
He was an old noodle. A bit off. Trump answered him sharply.
Many feel the way he does. Trumps answer was spot on- probably won’t get any credit for it though.

I have NEVER heard anyone I know use the word Zionist whether they were for against or indifferent to Israel.
I’ve known dozens of hard core anti Israel leftists at work in NYC and have a number of Jewish friends from the neigbhorhood and from old jobs, and not ONCE did I ever hear that word. Even from the Jewish friends who frequented Israel!!
Why wouldn’t the USA support Israel? They are the only western-style democracy that guarantees basic civil liberties in the entire mid-east.
Israel has too much influence within our government. I support Israel with military and some financial aid, but that’s it. We should stay out of their internal affairs and they should do the same to us.

Well, it’s probably a word you can’t use in an office converssation if your’e against Israel, and my Jewish friends had no reason to use it, and my neighborhood friends probably never heard of it, lol, so that could explain why.
“Zionist Israel” has been used by anti-Israel American Jews, by Palestinians and their supporters, by BDS leaders and supporters, and by the old “PLO Lobby” since they were founded in 1978.
Also used by self-hating Jewish Israelis, Fascists, and Soviet/Soviet Bloc propagandists.
Otherwise, I’ve haven’t heard it much either.
