Just a random thought for the day...I believe there's a good possibility that had JFK, Jr. not died, he may very well have become POTUS by now...or possibly be Trump's opponent this time around.
It fascinates me that Uncle Ted moved heaven and earth to locate the deep-sea remains, only to have the three cremated and buried at sea, despite the wishes of the Bessette sisters.

Remember the Clinton administration had the U.S. Navy spend millions of dollars to find the sunken plane and recover the bodies. Just so they could throw the bodies back into the ocean. Huh? Never could understand that one.

He graduated high school from Phillips Academy Andover which is one of the toughest high schools in the US. I know that because I have a daughter at Andover now.
He got a degree from Brown -- another tough school.
He got a law degree.
No matter how much political pull one has, you don't graduate from Andover and Brown if you are as dumb as a bag of hammers.
At least he was smart enough to reject politics. I think he kne he wanted no part of it- but the establishment would be eager to use him.

I've read numerous Kennedy bios, and several Ari books. He wanted her as a "trophy" wife, because he craved the publicity. She wanted his money, and the privacy he could provide for her and her kids. At least on her terms, anyway. When she wanted publicity, she got it, when she wanted privacy, she stayed on Skorpios or the yacht, and Ari could guarantee that privacy.
I've never seen any indication that Ari or her fooled around when they were married. All indications that they cared for one another. Did they really love one another? Who knows? But she sure did like the money.
Ari just went to pieces when his son (Alexander) was killed in a plane crash in 1973. Heavy drinking, etc. He died in 1975. Jackie squeezed $25 million out of Christina as a settlement to the estate.
I’m glad that he’s not president.
I actually thought all these years that his plane crash was an accident.
Now I wonder.
