In your feeble little mind there's probably not the least bit of skepticism of this being for real. Like a conservative woman well known in the media would actually say something like this on Twitter. Could be some scuz ball Trump supporter or anti-Cruz, anti-Conservative, lefty hacked into her page, or opened a false page with her name.

Until that interview, most news outlets were avoiding the story, even here on FR the mods were deleting the threads. The story wasn’t getting traction, so Trump had his toadie Cohen directly accuse Carpenter and the floodgates opened. That was a calculated move period, that was Trump spreading the story.
