espite a California Construction Trucking Association lawsuit attempting to halt the regulations, the CARB brought in big federal guns
The metastasis of statewide diesel truck regulations created by the California Air Resources Board has forced many large and small truckers out of business. The truckers still in business have had to spend $20,000 to $50,000 per truck retrofit with the CARBâs expensive, mandated Diesel Particulate Filter, or they have had to buy newer model trucks to meet the new regulations. New trucks are hugely expensive.
By the stroke of a pen from unelected career bureaucrats hiding behind layers of government, millions of trucks were suddenly deemed illegal. And it was done retroactively. It is a violation of the U.S. Constitution for the government to pass a law retroactively, criminalizing something after the fact.
Ping.
Every load leaving California should have a surcharge to pay for California’s mandates. When customers see the actual cost on a line item in the bill this would end.
Liberals and Democraps sure like to 'deem' a lot.........................re: ObozoCare was 'DEEMED TO HAVE PASSED' by Nancy the Witch....................
Unfortunately, that is unconstitutional................
What is it about California that creates individuals like Nichols and the enivro-leftists that are intent on having us live back in the stone age.
Quit haulin their food and liquor. Hit em where it counts. It won’t take very long.
Typical government reaction:
340% Miscalculation? No Problemo. Well within most government projections.
Besides, it is not going to effect the elected officials or the bureaucrats or event the California taxpayers, just the trucking industry and especially the owners of the evil trucking companies.
Doncha know.
Math is hard!
Yes, just like California mandated that trucks from other states must comply with their regulations...
As we used to say when I was studying engineering in college and not sure of our answer “meh, good enough for government work.”
Then don’t ship anything to California via truck. Use camel caravans.
BTW, do those regs include trucks from MEXICO?...................
Life is hard. It’s harder when your stupid.

Californians pushs this to the limit.

I think you forgot the /s.
Yes, but when you’re driving a truck that’s only worth 10k and the odds of getting caught are near zero... The worry is for the company owner, not the owner/operator driver.
