The Donald soon learned it was big mistake to endorse de Blasio for N.Y. Mayor. When Trump made comments about illegal border crossers, de Blasio responding by threatening to to take away his contracts. Then de Blasio took issue with Trump's desire for the NYPD to bring back its Muslim surveillance program. He called Trump a "blowhard." This was a First Amendment issue. Trump responded on Twitter by calling him "the worst Mayor in the U.S." The Donald finally got it right.

Trump, 64 or 65 years old at the time, knew full well that De Blasio was a communist yet gave him that gushing endorsement anyway. There’s no excusing that. He only got it “part” right in the end.
