Yes, Caroline and Catherine, there really is a Santa Claus, but not over at the Grinch-like Washington Post
It would seem that if youâre already a president, your children are off bounds to the smears of yellow journalism. But if you are only running for Republican candidacy to represent the party in an upcoming presidential race, your little ones can be depicted as âtrained monkeysâ.
Itâs Christmas time for children everywhere other than at the Washington Post where the seven and four year old daughters of Senator Ted Cruz were fair game for cartoonist Ann Telnaes until public disapproval stepped in.
Ted Cruz, of course is the primary presidential hopeful that Republicans join Obamaâs Democrats in hating.
Of course he understands why there was, or should have been,an exception to the policy in this case.
The real lie in this statement was "...but I do not agree..."
He failed to look at the cartoon. Gee, think he will lose his job of being an "editor"? Not likely.
Sid Blumenthal, is that you?
They did the same thing to Bush and Condi.
What you have inadvertently done is to show that the Cruz ad was indeed VERY effective. To stoop to the lowest point and portray to innocent little girls as monkeys shows how much the ad bothered you (and those with your same wicked philosphy). You couldn't argue against the points in the ad itself, so you had to disparage the innocent participants.
Every candidate down through the ages has, or sooner or later, will.
Every candidate down through the ages has, or sooner or later, will.
So are you saying that you would be OK with attacking candidate's children in this way so long as both Democrat and Republican candidates were targeted?
The replies to her latest spin are hilarious.

Seems that not only is the Washington Post's Swede Ann Telnaes racist against Latinos, she is so stupid that she doesn't know the difference between Latin cultures. In yet another racist Ann Telnaes cartoon, she draw up Tortillas, #teaparty, & Ted Cruz and posted it to her Twitter feed:
So are you saying that you would be OK with attacking candidate’s children in this way so long as both Democrat and Republican candidates were targeted?>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
No, I am saying quid pro quo....whats good for the Cruz goose is good for the Obama gander.
Interesting how political correctness puts words in the mouth eh? You know what I said and I MEAN it, retractions are schlonged.
One good cartoon deserves another. You take Aylmer Fudd and I’ll take the Road Runner. Thats ALL folks!
The left feels entitled to slander ethnicity, sex, disabilities and even physical appearance when they encounter any nonconformist thinking. Their emotional rants often include murdering people, especially on topics like the NRA. And they say Christians are scary.
Guess that clears the path for portraying Bambi as a trained monkey of the Muslim Brotherhood....
No, he's just a big fan and defender of Mitch "Gobbler" McConnell...establishment through and through.
It's understandable that he would deliberately ignore the fact that candidates have been putting their families in campaign ads for decades in order to try and smear a Constitutional conservative. Ted's poison to this one.
It would appear that Obama either FAILED or just plain
LIED about that “unite a divided country” thing; because
this country is a DIVIDED MESS after all these years of
Obama - and pit-deep in debt to boot.
No, we always stoop to their lvl.. wait.. no we don’t.
Just wish the LIVs could see the hypocracy here :/
(sometimes I think we may need to stoop to their level to show them the damage they have done).
