It would seem that if you’re already a president, your children are off bounds to the smears of yellow journalism. But if you are only running for Republican candidacy to represent the party in an upcoming presidential race, your little ones can be depicted as ‘trained monkeys’.
It’s Christmas time for children everywhere other than at the Washington Post where the seven and four year old daughters of Senator Ted Cruz were fair game for cartoonist Ann Telnaes until public disapproval stepped in.
Ted Cruz, of course is the primary presidential hopeful that Republicans join Obama’s Democrats in hating.
Fairness and balance require the WP to portray Obama’s girls in the same way.

I hope Cruz is keeping a list.

Don’t forget how Palin’s children, especially the youngest, were treated in the press and by the presses allies.
Similarly, Obama uses his girls as props quite a bit. WAPO’s cartoonist is a mean-spirited hypocrite.
Somebody already posted the exact graphic but with obama on one of the many threads about this. It would cause great problems in the media.

The Washington Post is a piece of garbage, rescued from bankruptcy by Amazon’s Jeff Bezos. Think of that the next time you buy anything from that outfit.

I posted to Telnaes on twitter the cartoon pic someone created with Obama’s face replacing Cruz’s, and with the note ‘See the problem now?’
Meanwhile, Ted is using the ad as a tool to raise campaign donations. I'm not real crazy about that.
It also came up this AM how Jeb actually defended Trump, sort of. hillary's manipulation and victimhood? Well, Jeb said that's what hillary does....play the victim card! Chuck Todd agreed.

Cruz needs to hit back VERY hard, and not just at the Compost, at the cartoonist. Personally. VERY hard. Words like “idiot” and “low IQ” should be used. Name her.

That cartoon should never been published, but Cruz shouldn’t be using his children as “props” in a campaign commercial.
