Donald Trump Threatens ‘War’ With Ted Cruz [VIDEO]
The Daily Caller ^ | November 16, 2015 | Steve Guest

Posted on 11/16/2015 1:04:30 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Donald Trump says that if Ted Cruz 97% “catches on, then I guess we will have to go to war.”

Appearing on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” on Monday, Trump told Joe Kernen that Cruz has “been very nice and supportive of everything I’ve said, more than anybody else.”

However, “we’ll see what happens. If he catches on, then I guess we will have to go to war. But so far we haven’t,” suggested Trump.

“We’ve been very supportive we have a lot of same ideas. And you know, I’m very strong on border security and building a wall,” claimed Trump. “We will build a wall and it be effective, believe me. My walls are effective.”

“And we’re going to have a border again and we’re not going to have drugs pouring across and we’re not going to have people that are illegal coming in and just walking across in front of the border patrol people who want to do something but told to stand down. But he’s been very supportive, actually.”

Amen.

"we have a lot of same ideas"
Except that Ted is a timeless Constitutional Conservative...
while Trump has been successful in business precisely because he has been apolitical -- that is, without reference to politics, Democrats equal to Republicans as far as he is concerned.

So yeah, the two "have a lot of the same ideas" except for that little thing! In fact, for 21 of the past 26 years, Trump has donated as much to Democrats (more actually) as to Republicans. I wonder how much money Cruz sent to Democrats running for office over the past 26 years in order to secure his own financial gain?

Trump is a great businessman -- he has self-promoted himself as such so convincintly that now he is a celebrity icon. Good for him -- great showmanship, great for business, great for his stockholders. But what's great for business may be very bad for the cause of liberty, such as donating to Democrats like Harry Reid, Kerry, Schumer, Rangel, Hillary, and Kennedy and justifying advancing tyranny as "the cost of doing business."

It's a good thing the Founding Fathers and the signers of the Declaration of Independence didn't take that stance with their own businesses.

Trump lacks a political compass to guide his ideas -- his entire success happened because of being scrupulously apolitical. No one knows what they're really voting for because Trump has ZIP actual political record of action and a penchant for nationalized health care done his magic "The Donald" way. Trumpcare as opposed to Obamacare, when what we really need is for the Federal government to get out of it altogether.

Cruz's ideas are consistent because he operates on a political compass much like the Founders.

Trump, sincere well-meaning patriot that he is, is still obviously a crap shoot. Cruz is a sure thing.

His three children ARE running the business. He has stated that a dozen times in the last couple of months.

This "Cruz/Trump" idea shows a lack of realistic process thinking and logic.

No, the real "lack of realistic process thinking and logic" shows up when so-called conservatives promote a candidate like Trump who is lacking in his understanding of the Constitution over someone like Cruz who has no such problem.

In fact, Cruz hands-down, because of his fidelity to and understand of the constitution is the best candidate period for the job.

Good call. Trump did not say go to war against Cruz. If anything, if Cruz’s numbers come up near Trump’s, then the two would join forces and partner against their opposition. This could further morph into a Trump/Cruz ticket.

‘’Trump, sincere well-meaning patriot that he is, is still obviously a crap shoot. Cruz is a sure thing.’’

Cruz might be a “sure thing” within the Republican party. Sadly, the Primary election is not where it ends. In the General, Hillary would whoop his ass. Between Cruz and Trump, Trump has a better chance of beating the b!tch. We know she fights dirty and I think he can, too.

Trump is a successful businessman whose entire purpose has been to take an enterprise and make it grow and prosper, all about financial gain and return to stockholders. THAT is a businessman's job, and Trump is very, very good at it.

I want government to be overseen by someone who lives to shrink that enterprise, reduce it, and keep it severely limited. That guy is clearly politician Ted Cruz. Businessmen should stick to business. Leave politics to politicians.

Arnold Schwarzenegger was a sincere patriot and (not so many know this, but) a pretty darned good businessman. I voted for him with exactly the same high hopes and blind faith that I see people here expressing for Trump.

Trump is Schwarzenegger on a national scale. Beware.

Hillary is loathed and hated by the majority of Americans, Democrats included. It's the MSM that likes her. The only way Hillary wins a frickin' thing is the same way Obama got into office -- FRAUD.

Why do you think Democrats fight tooth-and-nail voter ID requirements? Why do you think they fight for motor-voter registration and everything possible to make it easier for illegals to vote? Why do you think Democrats get caught countless places engaging in dead votes, multiple votes, vote suppression, vote harvesting, vote ginning, and outright fraud?

There is only ONE reason: if they didn't cheat, they'd lose.

There are more of us than there are of them so they have to cheat to win.

Hillary was overrated as a threat in 2007-08, and she is overrated as a threat today. STOP fearing Hillary and start thinking about what we can do to save this country.

We need a wall because walls are non political.

BTW Great wall is 13.1 K miles long. US-Mexico border is 2k miles long. No comparison.

U.S. Mexico border is 1,989 miles, where as, the Great Wall of China is 5,500 miles. Should make for great employment for a good number of American workers I’d say.

Yes; but they DO cheat. Monumentally. That, added to the Clinton Mafia, makes it necessary for us to have a time-tested fighter in the running.

And will they donate to the Democrat's campaign just the same only because it's "the cost of doing business"? Trump understandably behaved along those lines for 21 of the past 26 years, while creating for himself celebrity billionaire "brilliant businessman" status by sheer showmanship (he's not the only billionaire in the world, though he is clearly the most famous, and was long before he decided to run for the REALLY big-shot office).

I love Trump, I believe him to be sincerely an American patriot with high hopes for America. But he is a businessman and a showman. We need a limited government Constitutional conservative politician to help America at this point. That guy is Ted Cruz.

Correct, however Trump is fully prepared to serve two terms if possible. Given his energy and general health, as well as his ability to effectively delegate while managing the big picture, there's no reason he could not. Look at it this way: Anything after being POTUS (with the possible exception of Chief Justice--something only Taft managed) is a step down and Trump wants to go out "on top".

Eight years of Trump followed by 8 years of Cruz and the Republic should be safe for decades to come.

Hey, spicey, have YOU looked at a map? The wall on the Mexican border would be less than one-tenth the length of the Great Wall in China. Your nonsense is pathetic.
