That, of course, was never explained by the media. That is what they do to conservatives. Either not tell the story or only give the half of it.
Questions?
Don’t need to ask
anything in response
to a supposition.
I’m content with the answers
expressed by the Carson campaign
to dodgy claims made by a
specious organization like
Politico. What bothers me is
the number of FReepers who are
willing to buy into a left wing
media attack on a GOP candidate
who is not theirs. When the long
knives come out for their man
they will be discrediting the
source with both barrels blazing
I’m reading more than Politico. I’m reading the WSJ article, reading segments or quotes from his book, listening to his own words from video.
I’m not yet satisfied with his explanations and will hope for the same careful vetting of ALL candidates. While I applauded his attack on the press for their lack of vetting for Obama, for me, it seemed more like Carson was trying to redirect their questions to someone else. I found myself wondering if he expected to get the same pass from the press that Obama got.
I just want the truth from all the candidates, regardless of where it leads. The person we elect is going to have the weighty job of leading the nation and I want that person to be up to the job, to be honest and forthright with our nation. It’s sad to see what the lack of proper vetting gave us last time. As painful as it may be, we need the truth, come what may.
I, too, want the the truth. And, while the candidates are
being vetted I’m left wondering just who is vetting the
vetters. The WSJ ed page is pretty OK. The reporters
maybe not so much. As important as the vetting is Ben,
Donald, and Carly are still unknown. I am not sure if
any of them would be the conservative I am hoping for.
I think there is a huge number of Democrats who have lost
it for Obama and dont like Clinton. A number of them
could be brought into to the light. But I fear Carson
and, especially, Trump could become a populist as
president. I see little that ties either of them to
conservatism. I don’t feel that way about Cruz.
.
Excellent. But we can’t give the media a pass
I like Cruz, too, and would willingly vote for him in the general election.
“Trump and the media working hand in glove??”
Sneakily. Trump operatives release the dirt to minor sites like buzzfeed, and within minutes social media have a gazillion pointers to it, and a few minutes later the main stream media news trawlers who constantly fish for news on the internet find the story and then blow it up nationally.
It’s no longer necessary to release anything important directly to the big boys. It almost doesn’t matter now who first breaks the news. To paraphrase vomit-inducing meme from the left, the whole internet is a village. I’ve used the technique myself quite successfully.
Thanks jmaroneps37.
And how do we know that? And would you brag about it afterwards if you hadn’t gone? He does have real accomplishments so why dredge up a could’ve moment, shows bad judgement and insecurity.
How do you know he didn't. His backers assume he's telling the truth, his haters assume he's lying. If we have to doubt him, why should we not doubt his haters?
If you said you met with some important person many years ago, and he or she promised you something, should we assume you're lying? Get what I mean?
