Fox News Sunday‘s Chris Wallace was a little baffled this morning as he confronted Ben Carson over whether he would get rid of Medicare. Carson insisted he would do no such thing and is merely proposing health savings accounts to “eliminate the need” for Medicare.
Reports last week said that Carson would have the government put $2000 a year into everyone’s accounts. Wallace asked him if that means giving everyone the same amount of money. Carson said no, but Wallace said, “That’s what you were saying, sir.”
When Wallace pressed him on his past indication he would eliminate Medicare, Carson said he’s perfectly capable of changing his mind.

Biased Wallace, the resident Liar and interrupter for
FOX faux “News” would not let Dr. Carson speak,
would not accept what Dr. Carson said,
and interjected over and over.
Liar Wallace is only happy when Obama, Hillary, Soros,
or a pathetic RINO gains ground.
First get rid of the Obamacare penalty.
As it now stands, Medicare Part A (the “free” part) qualifies as Obamacare coverage.
We don’t need more people subject to the Obamacare penalty.

I don't think so. The polls simply reflect an electorate looking for a Messiah and can't much think for itself much anymore.
Rush says Carson is doing well in Iowa because he has a strong Facebook presence there. I believe Rush said he responds to 3 Iowans on Facebook every day.
I’m no fan of Chris Wallace, but Wallace wasn’t the problem with that interview. The problem was that Carson wasn’t able to explain his plan in a coherent manner.
Indeed, the Chief Executive needs to be decisive and a LEADER, not a waffling “it would be nice” very smart man. A sort of black Adlai Stevenson, instead of a 1/2 black neo-marxist foreign agent.
Correct. Carson was allowed to talk but couldn’t explain himself.
You have to look at the methodology of the polls that are putting Carson ahead. Large numbers of Democrats and registered voters, not Republicans who are likely voters, are being included for these Republican primary polls.
These are nothing more than push polls so the media can manipulate the election.
Sacrificial lamb of GOP?
It is difficult to contradict oneself when he says he wants to replace Medicare with a $2000 annual cradle-to-the-grave government funded account for everyone.
Carson seems to have to walk-back statements frequently.
In another thread he is claiming full support now for the Second Amendment. That is counter to previous statements that guns should be controlled in certain locations.
Political expediency at its finest.
Carson... “I’m gonna get rid of Medicare all together. Oh.. you mean more than half of my voters are old and on Medicare and this is not going to set well with them.... oh.... how in the world do I walk this back and come up with what some excuse for thinking $2000 would replace medicare? Neurosurgery is so much easier than politics.”

He is totally unvetted and there is a strong probability there is dirt on him once he outlived his usefulness in taking down Trump.
I agree that Wallace is a very biased and snarky man.
However, his questioning of Carson seemed fair to me. He didn’t let Carson wiggle out of what he had previously said about having the gov’t give everyone $2000 for an HSA and doing away with Medicare and Medicade.
Another couple of chinks in Carson’s thin armor were revealed, as he stuttered and tried to retract what he had said previously.
Carson is a loser in my opinion. He lies like Rubio!
