Donald Trump might be hip, happening, and now as far as the media is concerned because of his skill for making outrageous and often offensive statements so full of burning stupid as to threaten to singe the fabric of reality, but one thing that isn’t frequently discussed is his long history of parroting antivaccine misinformation.
The first time I learned of Donald Trump’s antivaccine proclivities was way back in 2007. What was he saying back then? This:
“When I was growing up, autism wasn’t really a factor,” Trump said. “And now all of a sudden, it’s an epidemic. Everybody has their theory. My theory, and I study it because I have young children, my theory is the shots. We’ve giving these massive injections at one time, and I really think it does something to the children.” ...

This is unbelievable. They are throwing everything they can think of at him which is precisely why his popularity keeps growing. The best part of the Trump candidacy is watching the elitists seethe.

They didn ‘t know.......doctors can be intimidating....
..they weren’t going to let our granddaughter leave the hospital without the multiple shots......she had been in NI C U for weeks!
And they told her parents (my daughter) no doctor would be her pediatrician without the shots.
It was a huge guilt trip.
But we prevailed and did find a reputable doctor who worked with us.
No big hairy deal. MANY individuals in the medical profession are wary of some vaccines. Trump has lottsa’ company. Izzat all ya’got? I smell desperation.

I’m not agreeing - because I don’t know - that vaccines cause autism - it might for some. I do believe it’s a crap-shoot.
But vaccines have caused a host of other problems.
It seems our choice of reasons to refuse vaccines here in Calif. has recently been shut off, with a new law. Criminal.
That actress who went very public with her son’s problems, has withstood derision - wish I could contact her for support.
Those who refuse vaccines do have an obligation to actively keep their kids healthy. Anti-vacciners know this.
There’s a homeopathic approach to ‘vaccines.’

I didn’t read ahead before posting.
I see many on this thread are wary of vaccines - and well they should be, I believe.
Wow, now I really do love Trump.
Vaccines are primitive mid 20th century concoctions that are neurotoxic. It’s a miracle every child doesn’t have evident sequelae. Most of them are more dangerous than what they halfway prevent. And the only way to tell which children are at risk for permanent NOTICEABLE* brain damage is to test their gut population. We still don’t quite know what the ideal “can handle the attack of a specific vaccine” gut biome would look like, but we know at least that the bugs should not be already fighting a virus or another illness at the time of vaccination.
Yet this happens every day. Today at a pediatrician’s office near you a baby who was coming down with a cold got some vaccines, and he will be permanently damaged by them, both his gut and his brain, which are more closely related than anyone knew in the 1960s. His parents may not find this out until he is nine, or he might only find out at age 45 when his neurodegenerative symptoms start.
*not all brain damage shows up right away. Some might only show up decades later, like ALS or Parkinson’s.

That bit of medical news was given to me by my good friend who at the time was an emergency doctor at Bellevue Hospital. She is now in Ireland heading up one of its main hospitals in Dublin. I’ll listen to her before an unknown freeper, thanks.

To confirm my previously acquired knowledge, I re-researched this, and there is NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER that the flu vaccine has any effect on the common cold. Agree with who you want, but it doesn't make them right.
BTW Ms. Snarky, I didn't suggest anything other than independent investigation. The fact that you don't know me personally means squat, and apparently the people you DO know are wrong.
