EXCLUSIVE: TRUMP CALLS CLUB FOR GROWTH A PACK OF THIEVES
by MICHAEL PATRICK LEAHY 29 Aug 2015. NASHVILLE, TennesseeIn an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, GOP front runner Donald Trump is firing back at the Club for Growth.
Theyre a pack of thieves, Trump told Breitbart News as he was leaving Nashvilles Rocketown facility. He had just finished delivering a high-energy speech to an overflow crowd of more than 1,000 people.
Trump was attending the annual convention of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies, which describes itself as the grassroots Republican wing of the Republican Party.
They [the Club for Growth] came to my office looking for money. I turned them down. Thats why theyre after me, Trump told Breitbart News.
Earlier in the week, the Club for Growth attacked Trump for his proposal to penalize Ford Motor Company for putting a car manufacturing plant in Mexico rather than Tennessee.
Donald Trumps threat to impose new taxes on U.S. car companies will hurt the American economy and cost more American jobs, David McIntosh, President of the Club for Growth, said in a statement.
It should thrill liberals and Democrats everywhere that Trump wants to create new taxes and start a trade war to force American companies to work where he demands, McIntosh added.

I just now spent about 15 minutes searching through the CFG website. I note two things that either disturb me or I find very interesting.
1) I don’t see anywhere I could get at with respect to issues where illegals, amnesty, immigration or anything like that is discussed as a significant issue, and
2) They have “white papers” on most of the candidates. Read through most of their slides on the various sub issues for Bush, Cruz, Rubio, et al AND Trump. As far as I can see CFG is plainly against him, and they footnoted his comments in multiple instances, some going back to the 1990s. The odd thing about this is that there are no ‘footnotes’ for any of the other candidates.
This right here is enough to tell me I don’t want anything to do with those “Over 100,000 pro growth concerned citizens”.
“The Club for Growth is a well-known, established conservative organization. Attacking them is not wise.”
Given what’s happening to Europe and this country, NO ORGANIZATION is conservative if they support Open Borders. None. There is NO EXCUSE to stick with those policies.
How much of the money that they rake in goes for conservative causes, and how much goes into the pockets of the club members?
Just sayin'.
The total Cruz package....large cheap labor donors, support for H1B Visas, the very bad trade deals, Heidi still connected to Goldman Sachs isn't looking as good as the original promise of Ted Cruz did.
That may be how it was FOUNDED, but.....
Harvard and Yale, plus many others were founded as Christian colleges; some even specifically for the education and training of ministers of the gospel. Notice how THAT turned out. God is persona non grata at most, if not all. And one of the big two just received a grant (bribe) to finance a School of Sharia Law. And they’re apparently going to keep it, and do it.
So don’t give a scummy outfit a pass merely based upon the fact that once upon a time they had an honorable founding. I think the U.S. Congress and Senate could be Exhibit-A in that discussion.
That is hilarious.
Well, that explains a lot. Why would Trump, who is a businessman, donate to an organization which is donating heavily to one of his (Trump’s) competitors in the race?
Since the doctors aren't making more off it, the money is going elsewhere--and not to health.
I know of a few businesses who simply quit hiring people and quit expanding--during an oil boom--because of the O care mandates.
Start? WE ARE IN A TRADE WAR NOW, and we are losing.
I’m beginning to see that many of these so-called consultants, advocacy groups, and think-tanks are nothing more than protection rackets.
Should be - The Club for Growth is a national network of over 100,000 self interested, government manipulators who share in the belief that requesting million dollar “contributions” from the uber-rich is the quickest path to prosperity and we shall take every opportunity that comes from the economicly free.
Thanks!
Trump has made billions. The equate him to the Kardashiansemis silly.
Also, who should we be supporting that has a chance to win?
It’s sad. It’s as if they are under some kind of mind numbing spell. But I suppose that is what liberal indoctrination does.
Thanks for that insight.
Do you see any coming around at all?
Theyre a pack of thieves,
From what I have seen lately Trump is being kind.
The CFG once supported an anti-Second Amendment politician. I wrote them in effect that "that's once." If they did anything like that again, I would quit contributing. I think they've shown their true colors by supporting the Cheap Labor Express. No more money for them.
I don’t see any change coming. As long as Francis is Pope, most or all new bishops will be pro-abortion lefties like Cupich.
Well, that’s not surprising.
People who think any one candidate can step in and remedy our situation are deceiving themselves. It is too far gone for man to fix.
The Republican’s are in charge of the House and Senate and they can’t even slow down the train wreck.
Thank you.
