Florida Republican Party ignores Trump, supports the Liberal GOP Elite

“We need a new crew leader in the Senate,” former Congressman Mark Foley (R-WPB) told a recent meeting of the Martin County Republican club. This reporter asked the final question of the evening, namely, “What’s wrong with McConnell and Boehner…our readers and commenters on our conservative threads are furious with the Republicans…we gave them victories in 2010 and 2014 and nothing has changed...Boehner won’t stand up to Obama.”

That’s when the West Palm Beach resident said it was time for a change in Washington. Foley suggested that John Thune, a newer, younger face, would move the party forward. “Boehner is a negotiator,” Foley said when asked why the Speaker refuses to stand up to Obama. “Often the two Republican leaders pave the way for the President,” prompted the negotiator answer.

Foley went through a prepared list of what he believed to be the most promising candidates for the GOP. He seemed to skirt the Donald Trump phenomenon to express gratitude that Trump is bringing up issues that needed to be discussed. But Foley warmed up considerably to Jeb Bush, clearly the favorite of mainstream GOPers, both in the room and in nationwide sentiment.

When Trump’s name was mentioned a burst of applause erupted in back of the room. However, a main streamer raised her hand during Q & A to ask, “Isn’t there anything that can be done to keep him (Trump) off of the ticket?” Foley said in essence, no, Trump couldn’t be kept off of the Republican ticket and cited the candidate’s strong poll numbers. Another man asked Foley why Congress won’t impeach Obama. To that question, Foley stated, “There was no clear cut impeachable offense...

This is the party that ran that buffoon, Crist, against Rubio, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone.

Well, the positive I get from this is that even the GOPe recognizes that their boy the drunken crier, needs to go.

Mark Foley? LOL. April Fools has long past, so what was this, a NAMBLA meeting?

Speaking of laughs, here's one from Wikipedia ...

"Kirk Fordham, Chief of Staff to Tom Reynolds and former Chief of Staff to Foley, said that he was with Foley on September 29, 2006, when ABC confronted him with the explicit messages before they were publicized.[30] Fordham then visited GOP headquarters to inform Reynolds and Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert; he returned with a one-sentence resignation letter that Foley signed. Hastert and Reynolds let it be known that if Foley didn't resign, he would be expelled from the House. That same day, Foley tendered his resignation to Hastert as well as Florida Governor Jeb Bush.[31][32] Foley said in a statement, "I am deeply sorry and I apologize for letting down my family and the people of Florida I have had the privilege to represent."[33][34] Once the news report became more widely known, Foley's chances of retaining his seat in Congress were limited. Hastert said in an October 2 press conference that he would have demanded Foley's expulsion from the House had he tried to stay in office.[35] Even if he'd tried to get his seat back, polls showed him losing badly to his Democratic opponent, Tim Mahoney."

Dear God, what did we do to earn these cretins!

Candidates should reject the GOPe’s ‘loyalty oath’ straight away unless the GOPe agrees to treat all candidates equally.

My gosh—Eric Cantor in Virginia and now Mark Foley in Florida?

The GOP has scraped through the bottom of the barrel and is digging up the linoleum.
