Donald Trump previously said: “I will win the Hispanic vote in this election“.
Guess what? He’s right.
In a Public Policy Polling survey, Trump leads with 34% of Hispanic voters, surpassing Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. What makes this poll even more delicious, is that it had to be reported on Univision:
ROGELIO MORA TAGLE, CORRESPONDENT: And it’s that upon launching his campaign, Trump said among other things that the people who emigrate from Mexico bring to the United States drugs, crime and are rapists. Those comments, for 55% of those polled, are insulting and racist, and out of place in a presidential campaign.
But despite the negative numbers, among those polled there is also a percentage that believes the controversy generated by Donald Trump has helped bring to the table a very important topic: immigration. Especially since today’s news had plenty of snorts and snickers about his intention to try and win Hispanics and the black vote, on Morning Joe this morning.
Trump has surprised and shocked me how fast his poll numbers have moved up. Obviously people are mad as hell.

Many polls will ask you to check more than one candidates you prefer.
It is the % who have a favorable view of each candidate.

I saw Trump (on the phone) with Mika, Morning Joe and Mike Barnicle yesterday on MSNBC. They were absolutely worshipful/in awe of him. Even Mika was out of her gourd. Something is going on with Trump and his “natural” enemies and I think it speaks volumes about his appeal - it’s not about his politics either.
How can this be... We have the manual that tells us how each ethnic group will do in order to be considered ‘authentic’. How can it be wrong.

I don’t think there’s really much voter fraud on the national level that skews the results. Romney didn’t have the turn out, plain and simple, because of the people on this forum who are looking for the perfect candidate. They’re already bashing Trump.
I want someone who, like Reagan, appealed to non-conservatives and made them conservatives on most issues.
I can’t imagine Trump is going to tolerate this nonsense from the left wing nut job PETA and environmentalists. I think he’ll be smart enough to stay clear of the abortion and gay debate. He can be pro life and pro marriage, but avoid falling for the trap of having to defend something that really should be a state issue.
He has to admire people like Perry and esp Walker who have done some remarkable things.
IN short, I want a guy who will unite us. THere’s no doubt that he is going to attract the low information voters more so than anyone.
I’ve not seen anything like this.
