Conservative commentator Ann Coulter ripped The Associated Press Monday after the wire organization released a picture of Sen. Ted Cruz with a gun pointed directly at his head.
The photo, which was taken during a Cruz event at a CrossRoads Shooting Sports store in Johnston, Iowa Saturday, caused a stir among conservatives in the aftermath, though the AP claims it had no intention to portray Cruz in a negative light.
That is so outrageous, Coulter told Fox News Megyn Kelly. Dont insult our intelligence by saying oh, we didnt even notice. Who would have seen something like that?'
After Kelly told Coulter the picture had to make its way through the editorial process, the best-selling author became semi-exasperated.
Look at it! Coulter exclaimed. The two went on to discuss death threats against President Barack Obama since he jumped on the presidential trail in 2007, while comparing the Cruz photo to the halo effect (as Kelly put it) seen in pictures of Obama.
The AP issued a statement Sunday after media outlets picked up on the photo and offered up criticism of the APs choice to publish the image, but changed course Monday, deciding to take the pictures off its wire service.
On Saturday, The Associated Press distributed a series of photos to our member news organizations and other subscribers showing Sen. Ted Cruz at a gun range. The images were not intended to cast the senator in a bad light and they remain available for use by those who received them on Saturday through our photo service, the AP said in a statement. Five of the photos show Mr. Cruz with images of a pistol pointing at his head and upon consideration we have decided to remove those photos from further licensing through AP Images, our commercial photo syndication business.
Agarne!!!
That is not subtle. That is just plain sick and evil. Exactly what we have come to expect from the establishment.
A commercial with a little girl picking flowers right before a nuke goes off?
The website is too cluttered with crap. What was in the video or photo that Ann objected to?
ANY photographer who made that knows exactly what evil he was seeking to portray. Yup, the media are the enemies of America.
These were, we recall, the same folks who had public apoplexy when a Sarah Palin graphic used surveyors' marks that resembled crosshairs during the Giffords fiasco. They know exactly what they're doing.
If God be for Ted Cruz ? Who ? Just who can be against him ?
God’s divine protection shall surround Ted Cruz, God’s providence shall support Ted Cruz, and God’s wisdom and eye shall guide Ted Cruz where ever he goes.
For thou art LORD are a shield for me, the glory and the lifter of my head.
I shall not be afraid of tens of thousands of people who have set themselves against me round about.
For thou oh LORD hast smitten the check bone of my enemy, thou hast shattered the teeth of the wicked.
Psalms 91:1
He that dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
Isaiah 54:17
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper, and every tounge that shall rise up against thee in judgement thou shall condemn, for this is the heritage of servants of the LORD and their righteousness is of me saith the LORD.
Queers do nafarious things to achieve their agenda.
Restless demons they are.
I’m a photojournalist. That photographer was laughing as he FTPed them to AP.
I know I’ve taken shots of politicians I don’t like that I would have loved to have put on the wire. I have one of Obama that is priceless, but it is just between me and some like-minded colleagues.
What makes someone a professional is leaving your political views at the door and acting like a professional.
This doesn’t seem any different to me than things like using images of a person for target practice, or that Sarah Palin thing from a few years back with crosshairs or such. All in bad taste, in my opinion.
The image is clearly intended to represent an assassination fantasy of the left.
I am a fan of Coulter’s wit full of humor. She is smarter than most women on TV.

Were i to photoshop a picture of B.H.obammy with say a 6.5X52mm
Italian Carcano m91/38 bolt action rifle, the kind Oswald killed Kennedy, I’d bet the secrert service would be all over my ass.
But aim a howitzer at Cruz or Walker and all is peachy.
I think the pictures are lame. Much ado about bad photo journalism.
AP: Administration Propaganda
This is certainly an “in your face” commentary.
THATS the pic and they’re saying they didn’t notice it?
That makes no sense.
Kelly gets fired up over what she is impassioned about. I’ve seen her get fired up at the left plenty.
Why would she leave the most watched cable network, after she just got the prime slot, and go to one with barely more viewers than MSNBC, that was just made fun of by “The Simpsons”, and called “fake news”.
A lot of people on this site get bent about FNC because it’s not 100% conservative (their definition only) 100% of the time. It was never intended to be. FNC has always put both sides of the argument out there. We’ve gotten used to the fact the left losses the argument 99% of the time. That’s why it’s the most watched news network in the US, and why the left hates it. If it were just conservatives “preaching to the choir” does anyone think the left would scream nearly as loud as they do now?
