CHICAGO IT is time to talk about President Obamas contingency plan for health care. The Supreme Court heard oral arguments earlier this month in King v. Burwell, a case challenging the provision of tax credits on federal insurance exchanges. While the legal issues are dry lawyers fare how to interpret several interconnected phrases of the Affordable Care Act the practical stakes are high. The government estimates that millions of Americans will be left without affordable health insurance if it loses.
While the administration may well prevail, it has expressed remarkable pessimism about its options if it does lose. The secretary of health and human services, Sylvia Mathews Burwell, wrote to Congress last month about the administrations lack of a contingency plan: We know of no administrative actions that could, and therefore we have no plans that would, undo the massive damage to our health care system that would be caused by an adverse decision.

If the administration loses in King, it can announce that it is complying with the Supreme Courts judgment but only with respect to the four plaintiffs who brought the suit.
SNIP
The administration would simply be refusing to extend the Supreme Courts reasoning to the millions of people who, like the plaintiffs, may be eligible for tax credits but, unlike the plaintiffs, did not sue.
And of course, the "Slimes" is hoping he will do so.
Impeachment, followed by full repeal of OZEROCare is the only option. But that won’t happen because the GOPe will not do it.
What’s Plan B?
Nothing constrains him. He does not believe in limited government and is on record trashing the Constitution.
This is some sort of joke right? Of course he’ll bypass government, so long as Congress continues to write him blank checks.
Anyone doubt he is the AntiChrist anymore? If not he’s sure as hell paving the way for him big time.
How would the SCOTUS make him comply? Congress is "supposed" to do that ostensibly through IMPEACHMENT, but with Mitchie and Little Johnny Boehner that won't happen, and he knows it!
what’s the supreme court going to do if the administration simply refuses to abide by their decisions?
the founders never considered the possibility that the person holding the job of president would be so brazen about their disregard for the Constitution.
He does believe in limited government. But only for the SC and Congress.
He is AntiChrist, AntiAmerican, AntiFreedom, AntiConstitution, AntiCapitalist, anti-EVERYTHING...we believe in!
“Nothing constrains him. He does not believe in limited government and is on record trashing the Constitution.”
For six years he and his subordinates have been pushing hard with no opposition. During the next two years he will take an action that even his most loyal apologists will have to admit “breaks” the Constitution. It remains to be seen what will happen then.
Basically, the answer to the headline is “who’s going to stop him?”
He identifies as “black”. Any opposition to him is “racist”.
The best thing that could happen to the present phony “health insurance” scheme as laid out in the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010” is its rapid collapse.
Never a workable plan, it is more concerned with transfer of wealth than with providing adequate compensation for the delivery of health services, either to the doctors and supporting infrastructure, or to the patients who mistakenly believe they have something of value.
What with co-pays and deductibles, the family plans offered would force the applicants into near bankruptcy before any claims would be paid out. And that was supposed to be one of the major problems this bogus legislation addressed.
Colossal fail. Catastrophic is only part of it.
Short of a coup or a popular uprising, we have will have to wait for the next election.
The Democrat long term strategy since the days of the New Deal has been to get as many people dependent on government as possible.
I know a Revolution was fought to be free of Europe. But with each passing day we are becoming more like it unfortunately.
I think they never realized we would be so polarized that members of the president's party would not vote against him for ANY reason.....
If “exchange established by the state” means “exchange established by the federal HHS secretary” then words have absolutely no meaning. Anarchy will prevail.
They spent a lot of time weaponizing the “ist” suffix, did they not?
"The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failedwhere the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once.
