If he is talking about early America, the Rio Grande-and what is now Texas-was not part of the USA-MY ancestors did cross it-in the late 1700’s-then it was Spanish territory until 1821, when it became part of Mexico until 1836 when it became the Republic of Texas-it only became a state in 1845-and I’ve begun to think that just might have been a mistake every time I hear Obama mangle history-don’t his handlers ever fact-check his speeches before they let him open his mouth?
