Fresh off promises from CNN boss Jeff Zucker that the channel will pursue more stories on global warming whether their audience likes it or not CNN anchor Carol Costello presided over a segment with two religious figures agreeing that to deny climate change is to sin against God.
But Costello did much more than just moderate the debate, railing against deniers and questioning whether theyre reading the Bible.
In the eye-popping intro to the segment which aired during CNNs Newsroom, not an opinion program Costello pulls no punches while savaging those who dare to question the settled science.
Climate change is real, she began confidently, but for many reasons, certain people keep debating this issue.
She quoted a tweet from Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak:

I now believe global warming alarmists are
unpatriotic racists knowingly misleading
for their own ends. Good night.

That statement is so ridiculous its easy to laugh it off, Costello mused, except we cant, because powerful politicians like Florida Sen. Marco Rubio say, I dont not believe that human activity is causing these dramatic changes to our climate the way these scientists are portraying it, and I dont not believe the laws will do anything about it except destroy our economy.
Religious leaders are more than concerned about statements like that, she declared earnestly. Theyre now battling climate change deniers on moral grounds.
Costello introduced her two guests, an evangelical minister and global warming activist and a CNN commentator (and Catholic priest) who believes climate change is a sin.....

Ask them where the Smoking Hot Spot is.
Give them that link. I tweet it to Neil deGrasse Tyson every week. @neiltyson
whether their audience likes it or not
What audience. T-Ball games have more of a audience.
Cable bundling is what pays their bills.
And a consensus of non-scientific scientists is mob rule.
Remember folks...
CNN is now run by the guy that wrote Obama’s “Styrofoam Columns” stadium speech, while he was Prez of NBC Entertainment.
The “New Culture” at CNN is that you better support whatever the latest Dem GroupThink meme happens to be TODAY, or find a new job.
Exactly. That and the captive airport waiting room audience. I find what I read on the back of the breakfast cereal box to be more informative than what I’d watch on CNN.
He needs to be taxed 50 percent more to pay for CLIMATE CHANGE!
Climate Change is for idiots. Of course it changes. One giant volcanic eruption can change it a lot. And we have no control as humans.
Nor do we control our orbit, axis, tilt, gravitational pulls, our sun, movement in our solar system, movement in our galaxy, etc.
ANYONE that believes humans can effect these variables aere worshiping false gods.
“....During Straight News Hour”. As opposed to gay news hour? Guess I gotta get me one of them shirts with a big scarlet “D” on the front. I’ve taken to telling people that we left FL because we were skerred of the water rising just to see their reaction. Can be funny at times. I guess that’s the real reason we cancelled the Shuttle program too. LOL! Flooding on Pad’s A and B. Uh, not for a while.
Look for hairy screed to introduce legislation outlawing axis shifting. Yes, he is THAT stupid.
Carol Costello, climate change...is that what they are calling it now? I thought it was global warming. I guess since we almost froze to death over the winter they had to change the name again!

UN climate change expert reveals bias in global warming report
Working Group 2, published in March, and focusing on the impacts of climate change, had a different problem. It lies at the heart of the previous IPCC controversy. The scientific literature now acknowledges that many of the more worrying impacts of climate change are in fact symptoms of social mismanagement and underdevelopment.
The first rule of climate policy should be: do no harm to economic growth. But the IPCC was asked to focus on the risks of climate change alone, and those who volunteered to be its authors eagerly obliged. There is even a groundbreaking section on emerging risks.
The first paper on an issue is always dramatic. That is the only way to get something onto the scientific agenda. Follow-up papers then pooh-pooh the initial drama. But the IPCC chose not to wait for those follow-up papers.

OK that settles it. A priest says climate change is a sin. So when I’m too lazy to throw the plastic bottle in the recycling I’m sinning? I mean I do it most of the time but seriously?
Who is claiming humans can control the earth’s orbit, axis, tilt, gravitational pull, the sun, etc?
No longer reporting just the facts of how, when, what & why?
At one time denying that the Earth was flat was considered a sin as well. Priests don't exactly have the best track record in these matters.
Yes, it's called Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, now go back to drinking your Kool-aid.
These people are totally unhinged.
Even if Climate Change was 100% legit, how would ‘deniers’ existing change the facts? Eve
n if you got rid of ‘deniers’ somehow (say, put them all up against a wall and shot them, which I’m sure would appeal these nuts) climate change (if real) would remain the same.
Well what is it? Climate change or global warming? One or the other not both.
Lol. They have someone spending $100,000,000 to make a push in advance of the November elections, they have media idiots spouting off relentlessly and still they can get only 3%.
Bless me father for I have sinned.
I denied man made climate change four times since my last confession.
I took the name of Algore in vain.
I coveted my neighbors SUV.
And worst yet father, I think I murdered the earth.
