On first glance, this may look like the kind of vertical ride you find at your average amusement park. But it's not - it is a whopping 335ft tall. Busch Gardens' new giant Falcon's Fury ride, the tallest freestanding drop tower in north America, is open to the public at the theme park in Tampa, Florida. When riders get to the top - as many as 32 at one time - their seats are tilted forward 90 degrees so that they're directly facing the ground when released.

They better have some fail safes or there are going to be some major lawsuits when someone pops out of their seat and slams face down into the ground at 185 mph hr...
My neighbor works at Bush Gardens (security). He has ridden the thing. He posted the picture on his FB page. Said it was scary.
Don't know if it's open to the public as of yet.

I was thinking more of people barfing and the mess that would make. I been on the Mach Tower, a more traditional drop tower, at Busch Gardens-Williamsburg and one thing to look straight ahead but for many people being forced to look down might be too much.
Sometimes there is a thin line between a “thrill ride” and “stupid”.
This crosses that line. There is no reason to be forced to look at te ground.
The feeling of weightlessness is fun.
Simulating death is not fun.
AND we wonder why teens/youth have trouble with the daily grind of going to work, paying bills, and keeping a job. College and HS is about Spring Break, Sex, and excitement.
Thrill rides, thriller movies, and every where non productive free food stamps, section 8, and government handouts so they can keep getting those thrills on a daily basis.
Maybe we should re evaluate our culture and introduce some normalcy, and stop trying to entertain and scare everyone just for the thrill of it.
Our culture embraces death in so many ways. It’s a big problem.
If you are pointed down and going Mach 3, the barf will go straight down and not make a mess. Have a pond for the impact zone and cleanup will be a breeze.
Morbid isn’t it, that’s the mindset of terrorism that is infiltrating our society...that chaos seems to be a way of life they enjoy. Stealing, killing, and hurting good people, who actually work and take care of themselves. Evil.
I’ve seen the commercials for this new ride and all I can say is “Hell no!”
The price better include free replacement underwear
No thanks. Whenever I want the crap scared out of me, I remind myself of who is in the WH.
The smell would linger even after the barf was cleaned up.
Today it is this drop tower. Tomorrow will have to top this. And another, and another. Men will want more.
roflmto....
A "roller coaster" atop the Stratosphere tower that tips over the edge and sends you hurtling "off" but stops you at the last bit.
I always found with these things the worst part is the climb right before the drop.
The drop happens so fast it’s usually over before you have a chance to be terrified.
The deconstruction of America is right on schedule, as the globalist oligarchs count it. Our once functioning taboo structure, which gave us the empowerment to win WWII, is now completely dysfunctional and the education of our children is in the hands of domestic terrorists who hated America forty and fifty years ago.
I agree, the signs are all there.
