"Their problem is not me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves," he said. "Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that's who they are and they're the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that's not who New Yorkers are."
Cuomo can walk this statement back all he wants, but the fact is, when liberals speak off the cuff and let their guard down -- without the protection that comes from teleprompters and prepared speeches -- they speak their true beliefs. Does anyone doubt that Cuomo would prefer to govern New York (or this country) unencumbered and unimpeded by conservative dissent? Is there any doubt that most left-wingers dream of a utopian paradise without a conservative thorn in their collective sides?
Like it or not, this reeks of totalitarianism-in-training. I'm not one to pull analogies out of the air willy-nilly, especially regarding something as serious as the Holocaust and the German Reich, but this statement by Cuomo is about as odious and ominous as it gets.
Juden raus. Judenrein. Judenfrei. Das Juden Problem. The Jews had no place in Germany (or Europe or the world, for that matter), because that's not who the Germans were. They didn't share the same value system or culture or place in the hierarchy of man, as the Germans. Germany's problem was simply the Jews themselves, much as the problem Cuomo is referring to is the conservatives themselves. The Conservative Problem. Conservative Free. Cleansed of Conservatives. Conservatives Out!
Chilling.

Smartest move I made was leaving that Jack-hole state 7 years ago. Cuomo wears a necktie to prevent the foreskin from covering his mouth and nose.
I do not regret,
As a former New Yorker,
My move from that state.
He used the word ‘conservative,’ but consider what was actually attacked were Christian beliefs. He might as well have said Christians, progressives conveniently twist the meaning of things to suit their propaganda needs. If he had come straight out and said, Christians were no longer welcome in New York...? Look at that supposedly rhetorical question...’Who are they?’
Prolife=Christian
Anti-gay=Christian (although as Beck points out what does that mean? But in the progressive world it is exactly understood)
Pro-Assault Weapon=Christian (again an arguable point, but for those that believe in God given Rights, it fits)
Somewhere in the Book of Revelations there is a clarion call for God’s people to come out of the evil to not suffer their punishments.
He is using a political descriptor to attack a faith and as Christians we best sit up and take notice that they are attacking the core foundation of our political platform. They were not happy with just denying God at their convention in 2012. Now they are coming for us.
See Detroit before trying to chase even more businesses and tax payers away.
Hmmm, let’s watch New York as it tries to get by without all of the good conservative tax paying law abiding citizens. I’d kind of like to see that.
No more swank, no more opulence. Now you’re just a big dirty, filthy gray crime ridden city — nothing special. No one will have anything and conditions will just deteriorate.
Except, for, of course, over at the mayor’s “quarters.”
“See Detroit before trying to chase even more businesses and tax payers away.”
Libs don’t agonize over issues like that. The idea of the remaining millions being totally dependent on them is a wet dream. They’d be perfectly fine with the entire country looking and operating like Detroit, so long as it means they’ve solidified their power base.
One thing I’ll give to Cuomo.. he at least warned the targeted minority that it’s now in his crosshairs. At least he was honest about it.
Great point. “And you will be hated by all men on account of Me”
When Hisself says "reasonable people agree," it is but a short intellectual walk to "those who disagree are mentally ill and need hospitalization."
The congressional floor ramblings of Dingy Harry, Schumer, Harken, Franken, etc. are laced with veiled and not so subtle threats against freedom loving conservatives.
IRS regs and NSA sweeps enable our oppressors to shut down new opposition before it begins.
How tight must the screws tighten before it is too late (if not now) to call an amendment convention of the states to demand restoration of traditional American freedoms?
And I bet Remington still stays in New York.
The upper class has no need for the middle class. New York libs would like to institute the Brazil model where there is a 10% upper class a tiny middle class and a huge underclass to wash, clean and cook for the upper class.

I’ve always said, if liberals had complete power, there would be Re-Education camps, at the very least. Cuomo’s brazenness is an indication of the power the left now presumes to posses, Public Education, Government and the IRS.
The Leftists try to exterminate either Conservatives or Jews (who actually believe in God) THIS time, there'll be a fight.
What makes you think such an amendment would pass? The same ones who elected these people would vote against it.
They’re still feeling the bite from Rush leaving. NYC (and state) showed how desperate they were when they pleaded with the federal government to allow the bailed-out banks to pay bonuses (with taxpayer money); they needed the state and city income tax revenue for their budgets.
“New York libs would like to institute the Brazil model where there is a 10% upper class a tiny middle class and a huge underclass to wash, clean and cook for the upper class.”
The sports/entertainment libs may want that, but the business upper class knows they need people more skilled than maids to make their money for them. They just want to import cheap Asian labor for their white-collar workforce...
They are not only tyrants, but cynical and hypocritical ones, to boot.
Since when does an elected person get the deed to New York? The state is NOT his nor are the rules for residency. Guess times are a changing.
