As polls indicate that the majority of Americans disapprove of President Obamas performance and that only 10% feel that government works well, the Obama Administration is now urging the media to pay less attention to polls in the run up to the 2014 off-year elections.
I know theres a certain horse race kind of excitement that makes the polls interesting to a lot of people, but this isnt as inconsequential a matter as a horse race, Press Secretary Jay Carney said. Promulgating the negative feelings expressed in these polls runs the risk of seriously undermining the peoples faith in their government. Is the momentary thrill of knowing who is leading at any given point really worth it?
As an alternative, Carney recommended that the media should undertake an effort to educate the public in a more meaningful way. There are a number of significant achievements and agenda items yet to be accomplished that the voters will need to understand if they are to make informed choices at the ballot box in November.
Among the significant achievements to be touted, according to Carney is the mandating of universal health care insurance. Critics may joke about the unforeseen consequences of a misfiring web site, soaring costs, and a net decrease in the number of people insured under the Affordable Care Act, but the fact is that for the first time in our history the government has made it illegal for anyone to decline to buy coverage. That is something the media has an obligation to make sure everyone knows before they vote.
And lets not forget that the economy is robust enough to support a record number of Americans on welfare and disability, Carney added. Administration opponents would like everyone to believe that a decline in the portion of the population holding down jobs is a bad thing. But work is something people do in order to afford the good things of life. That the Presidents policies have enabled a growing number to obtain good things without having to work for them is something we ought to be celebrating.
In related news, U.S. District Judge Mary Scriven permanently halted enforcement of a Florida law that requires welfare recipients to take drug tests. Scriven ruled that the contention that the tests are needed to prepare these recipients for jobs is contrary to both human rights and federal policy. Whether one has a job is a choice that every person is free to make, but the right to sustenance is a human right that cannot be abridged by the State in contradiction to federal rules under the Constitutions supremacy clause.

Our Her0 is a Zer0.
The capacity for dishonesty and hypocrisy from these people is astounding.
In other words, listen to talk radio.
Nice satire.
How long before Obamidiot puts out the word that MSM outlets that cite unfavorable polling data won’t get access to the heavy hitters?
1) The Regime's InfoKid has begun the New Year with new marching orders to the media on polling and other things....hut, two, three, four......fall in line, or else. He is so subtle in his mandates.
2)The above Judge has found a new "right" for the folks....the "right to sustenance", but she didn't say in which article of the Constitution this right can be found. Anybody know???

Can this guy/these guys face any kind of sanction/prosecution for attributing quotes to individuals who never said what was quoted? Where does satire cross the line into libel? Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy getting faked out as much as the next guy but sometimes I wonder.
Didn’t realize it was satire until the last paragraph.
Why, because it seems a plausable that they would do this.
While TRUTH is a defense, Libel has a meaning that is understood to indicate personal and intentional harm. Add to this that 'Public Persons' have a different standard than a non-public person.
How this works is like this, if I claim President Obama is a liar and he then sues me for libel, my defense is the TRUTH, he did lie. If I make a malicious (false) claim against my local mayor that he took a bribe, and he can prove that he did not, he may be able to sue me for libel but he has a more difficult case to make than someone who is not out in public. If I claim that my neighbor is a NAZI Skinhead and I know he has got a full head of hair, he would have an easier time of winning a libel suit against me.
One of the cases that I think should have been brought was when an Ohio government bureaucrat investigated and made public malicious information about Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher aka "Joe the Plumber" who argued with candidate Obama in the 2008 campaign. At that time he was a private citizen and for his private info to be released to smear his character was, to my mind, quite libelous!
Just my opinions, your results may vary!
Good news or no news. The Anointed One must see his propaganda campaign is faltering, so his solution is no propaganda at all.
“undermining the peoples faith in their government”
Maybe bureaucratic greed, corruption and gross incompetence is undermining the people’s faith in government, which is no longer “their government”.
Ah, listening to the pipple (people) speak out isn't good for the POTUS.
Hah, the truth hurts, don't it?
But work is something people do in order to afford the good things of life.
That the Presidents policies have enabled a growing number to obtain good things without having to work for them is something we ought to be celebrating.
Know a retired professor that absolutely believe this is a universal human right, he is from the San Francisco area
