I’m thinkin’ algore should be the one footing the tab for his uh, slight miscalculation on agw. He could even trade in some of the gazillions of carbon credits he’s got stored away in his secret underground lair.

Too many packages into a system that couldn’t handle the load. It’s like blaming the water company because your toilet backed up.

Publicity hound.

You’d think he’d be happy that UPS got buried with unanticipated orders. It means more consumption spending and that the economy is picking up (or will appear to be for the next round of statistics).

Send the presents early, you idiots. There is a Christmas crunch in package delivery every year. It’s not as if it’s a surprise.

None of the gov’t’s business.
This is between the business and their customers.

Hey Dick, why not get your supporters to terrify the families of the FedEx and UPS CEO’s by storming their houses?

Can the nation get a refund for the hope and change porkulas that didn’t arrive in time for reality?

You think I am the only one a bit “embaressed” about Sen. Bloomy?

“Dick does it again.”

If people paid extra to insure their items arrived before Christmas then they deserve a refund of whatever they paid.

They ponied up for a service and then did not receive it.

If the company cares to make nicey-nice (and they should) then they can offer them more. But that is PR.

Should the fedgov keep their noses out?

Yep.

That would be the best present of all.

I thought I read that the USPS subcontracts these companies. Wish I knew more. Maybe we’re looking at the wrong party. I have trouble believing no one has complained about the USPS.

Another DemoRAT trying to make someone else responsible for the actions of his stupid, non-thinking voters.

Standard operating procedure for RATS.

The free market will do more to fix this problem than Bloomer or any other politician could do. That is part of the risk of mail-order.

UPS and Fed Ex were given the opportunity to open greatly increasing their business form the poor service of the Post Office. My post office has been closed for 4 months and they expect the box rent for my box. City people get their service free.

Take public attention away from the failures of the federal government and Obamacare and go after companies by creating fake problems.

"'I call on UPS to do the right thing and provide refunds to people whose Christmases were a little less cheery as a result of their late deliveries,' the senator said."

Kinda' like those Stage IV Cancer patients whose aggressive cancer treatments won't be "delivered" on and after January because of tyrannical Democrat rules and regulations in ACA?

Now, Senator, we, the families and friends of those patients who have had both their Thanksgiving Holidays and Christmas celebrations marred by unnecessary anxiety, frustration and outright anger at the coercive and oppressive Democrat Party who, like lemmings following an imaginary leader into the sea, have, in the name of a "progressive" political agenda have brought about untold unnecessary suffering to millions of their fellow citizens, whose brave battles may have been fought in vain if they now lose their doctors, hospitals, and treatments.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C. S. Lewis

Does UPS not already have a policy about missed delivery dates? I know one of my customers got a full refund when their overnight delivery that was suppose to show up on the 24th by 10:30 showed up this morning.
