ObamaCare approval drops to record low

Support for the Affordable Care Act has dropped five points in a month to a record low, according to a CNN/ORC poll released Monday.

The poll finds that just 35 percent of the public supports the law, compared to 40 percent in late November.

The drop in support indicated in the poll could be particularly troubling to the Obama administration because almost all of it came from women, whose opposition rose from 54 to 60 percent in a month. The administration has tried to highlight advantages for women, such as free preventative care that covers mammograms.

Some of those who oppose the law, 15 percent of all respondents, continue to do so because they think it is not liberal enough. That means half of the public either supports the law or thinks it is not liberal enough.

Just 16 percent said they think their family will be better off when most of the law takes effect next year, a number essentially unchanged from earlier in the year.

Some Republicans have targeted the pledge to be able to keep one's doctor as the next assurance to be proven wrong. Still, 61 percent said they believed they can keep the same doctor.

The story is different when it comes to cost though, with 63 percent saying they believe their healthcare costs will rise under the law.

CNN: CNN Poll: Health care law support drops to all-time low........."Only 35% of those questioned in the poll say they support the health care law, a 5-point drop in less than a month. Sixty-two percent say they oppose the law, up four points from November.

Nearly all of the newfound opposition is coming from women......................"

Washerwoman says the Democrats will be running on Obamacare in November. Most of them will be running away from it in IMO.

I'm guessing it is the perennial 1/3 of this country that is entirely comfortable on living off the other 2/3rds.

The PPACA just fast tracks their plight to Medicaid all the much faster. I guess they can add that badge (Medicaid) to their SSI, Section 8, WICs, SNAP, TANF, SCHIP, EITC, Advanced EITC and all the other foolish charity recipient badges in this country.

They been trying to sell this Sh** sense 2009.

Now they are having to add a little truth in with it.

The Obama people have never been in business and they never wanted anything but to destroy the World's Best Health System

Wait until people find out there never was any healthcare or health insurance. Obamacare is not about providing either. It is a control and power grab.

Yes, he does…because his poll numbers translate pretty directly to 2014 elections….which is either the implementation of his transformation and his legacy, or the end of it.

He cares DEEPLY about his numbers, and Obama CARE’s numbers too.

Just how did birth control become "preventive care?" That's supposed to be things like mammograms and PSA tests. Things that happen to you, not the predictable consequences of things you do.

Obama domestic policy: Get YT.

Destroy the economy because it benefits YT.
Destroy the healthcare system because it benefits YT.
Destroy the housing market because it benefits YT.
Destroy the retirement savings because it benefits YT.

Great comment on the site:

Watching two gasoline trucks drive straight at each other, and thinking there will be an explosion of jelly beans - that is the Affordable Care Act.

It is actually illegal. Feds have no power to enact or enforce, notwithstanding what CJ Roberts and the leftist / statists say. Obamacare violates the takings clause, equal protection clauses, contracts clause, the Xth Amendment, and the free exercise clause. Stand up America. Do what your Representatives won’t do. Defend the Constitution. Nullify Obamacare. Demand impeachment and vote the Satists the hell out.

I'm guessing it is the perennial 1/3 of this country that is entirely comfortable on living off the other 2/3rds.

Make it roughly 1/2--or Romney's 47%. Of the 2/3 that disapprove, the article stated that 15% disapprove because the law isn't liberal enough. Add that back to the 35% that like it, and you're close to 1/2. Not as much comfort as I'd like in those numbers.

This is not about Obama’s personal approval ratings. These are polling numbers re: Obamacare. Those up for reelection in the House and Senate DO care about these numbers.
