Holy hell, that is a LOT of starships.
This comparison chart, compiled by DeviantARTist Dirk Loechel, presents what he says is an accurate size-comparison between famous sci-fi starships. As far as I can tell it's got more or less every single sci-fi starship ever, from Star Wars to Warhammer to EVE Online to Halo and way, way beyond. In an update this month, Loechel added a ton more ships to what already must have been a huge collection.

I do not see Tom Paine Maru. Maybe because they never made a movie, TeeVee show or video game out of it.
Limiting "Sci Fi" to video productions is, uh, "suboptimal".

Yes, but I used to play “Privateer” and “Privateer II”, so not seeing the ship I used to fly -a Galaxy- or even a Kilrathi is rather eyebrow-raising.

Limiting "Sci Fi" to video productions is, uh, "suboptimal". How true. Lots of ships from the Wing Commander and Privateer games that I would have loved to see there.

I found three Firefly ships, but didn't find Serenity.Too small for the chart but if I had to go cruising around the galaxy in something I'd want to hang with that crew.

Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see a Gulild Highliner from Dune, a spacefolding starship which transported other ships inside.

Yeah there are no Wing Commander ships that I can see. And the Privateer titles were the best ones out of that series.
To: Boogieman
As well known and with as long a history of those series, you would hope that at least a Kilrathi ship would be worthy of mention.

Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see a Gulild Highliner from Dune, a spacefolding starship which transported other ships inside. They probably didn't add it because the books didn't offer much of a description and everyone who read them is trying to forget the movie.

What, you have something against Sting? All I can say about his acting ability is he's a great musician.

Pity. It is a tremendous story, badly rendered on film. His son has done really well with the prequel books as well.

Dayum!
Have you heard of “Lexx”? I remember seeing it, the ship shaped like a you know what. The Enterprise looks like a kidney stone in comparison, and it’s only medium sized amongst some of these other ones.
