Even the most dangerous cities in America can have relatively safe neighborhoods, as there is more variation in crime within most cities than between cities. But using exclusive data developed by NeighborhoodScout, and based on FBI data from all 17,000 local law enforcement agencies in America, we here report those specific neighborhoods in America that have the highest predicted rates of violent crime per 1,000 neighborhood residents of all. Violent crimes include murder, forcible rape, armed robbery, and aggravated assault. These neighborhoods are the epicenters of violence in America, where social issues are likely to ignite into violence and spread.

Kinda hard to believe that Watts or Compton in the L.A. area didn’t even get an honorable mention

They would have during the years I lived there.

***Tulsa comes in at #2??????!! The home of Oral Roberts University? ****

Apache street is way north Tulsa, north of Archer and Greenwood a very dangerous area. ORU is way south Tulsa. There is now a Section 8 housing project just south of I-44 on Peoria. The crime rate in that formerly safe area has skyrocketed.

The days of the Socies (rich kid gangs) and greasers (not rich kid gangs) is gone.
Greaser is a term for those with the oily hair, not latinos.

I miss Penningtons Drive In!

Watts and Compton have pretty much been over run by illegals ... like the rest of LA. Not that their gangs aren’t bad as well.

This is a joke. No mention of Anacostia, S.E or N.E Washington D.C. If the authors think those areas are safe, try taking a walk thru them.

"Ghetto Tracker" was an app that helped you avoid dangerous slums. Now it's gone.

Is there any question about whether these cities vote red, or if they vote blue at election time?

They have America convinced that we can just keep throwing money at the problem.
