Eric Holder will “transcend partisanship” by overturning a Supreme Court decision

“This issue transcends partisanship, and we must work together,” said AG Eric Holder in a speech before the National Urban League in Philadephia a week ago. (1) The “issue” Holder referred to was the overthrow by the Supreme Court of the preclearance requirement–Sections 4, 5–of the Voting Rights Act. Thanks to the ruling in Shelby County v Holder it will no longer be necessary for selected states and jurisdictions to have all proposed changes to voting procedure approved (precleared) by the Department of Justice or the DC District Court.

And how has the Attorney General decided to “transcend partisanship” and “work together”? By filing a “Statement of Interest” in the District Court for the Western District of Texas, claiming the state has displayed a “history of pervasive voting-related discrimination against racial minorities” and demanding the federal court impose a...

lickspittle: a fawning subordinate : a toady.

Examples of LICKSPITTLE: a partisan news program whose host is more of a lickspittle for the White House than a serious journalist.

Add your example here:

Well, the burden of proof is in the DOJ to prove their bombastic slander. Gonna be tough when their voter law mirrors Indiana’s which stood up to SCOTUS scrutiny. Equal protection and all you know.

Ignore Holder. Tell him to come down and enforce it, and if he does, arrest him for Fast and Furious.

We have been overrun by alien barbarians, and I mean that quite seriously.

And we ought to treat them like alien barbarians - literally.

U.S. Military “transcends partisanship” by overthrowing an administration long recognized as an existential threat to the constitutional republic of the United States of America . . . Scores arrested in sweep of enemies within . . . Gitmo expanded to handle numbers . . . .

“history of pervasive voting-related discrimination against racial minorities”

a good reporter would ask rat face to support that statement with some facts. Race card, race card, race card, that is all this administration has and they are wearing it out. Nobody ever challenges rat face nor the obozo hussein on anything they spew. Truth no longer matters because FUNDAMENTAL CHANGE MUST NOT BE STOPPED!! If the dems can't commit vote fraud, the dems lose and the country wins.

This administration is just out of control. Laws don’t matter and this should scare the crap out of EVERYONE. The Republicans are just as complicit by their ballless reaction.

Let me guess, they’ll have a meeting. Maybe.

Holder has NO credibility.

If in his position, Holder has NO conception of the proper way to address issues (INSTEAD OF AN END RUN AROUND ESTABLISHED AND WRITTEN LAW), then he is in the wrong place and of has NO credibility.

During the last election cycle the fed courts got involved and kept Texas from having it’s primaries until June! This had the effect of denying all Texans a timely voice in the national elections. The feds are the ones denying Texans voting rights.

Hah...you took the words right out of my mouth...

Holder knows this is pure political theater for the race mongers and CBC (congressional Black Caucus)...he will do nothing...the DOJ has lost just about every case in the federal court system when it comes to overreach and abuse of their power..

I betcha Perry and Abbott are itching for this corrupt assclown criminal AG to bring it on...

We need a new way of choosing attorney generals. They were never intended to act as the president’s personal prosecutor and defense attorney. His job is to uphold the constitution and existing laws of the land. Not pick and choose which ones to uphold or try to change.

This appointed crap ain’t working.

I’d rather have an attorney general that I disagree with on occasion than one I disagree with all the time.

There was a very good article in the WSJ today about Obama’ s authoritarian government and how the US model is being completely changed by it and will probably not be able to change back again easily to what we had before (three equal branches).

Eric Holder's crimes (among others):

(1) Holder lied to the Congress when he said he had nothing to do with media scrutiny;

(2) his own testimony indicates he lied to the judge to get search warrants;

(3) Holder's falsifying official DOJ documents incurs several felonies and could involve forgery;

(4) Holder may have "pencil-whipped" official govt documents (signed off having no clear evidence of wrongdoing).........claiming without proof that the state of Texas has displayed a “history of pervasive voting-related discrimination against racial minorities”... this practice incurs jail time

==========================================

REFERENCE--Frontpage Magazine--NBC News reported that the DOJ promised to review its policies regarding the seizure of information from reporters, even as it acknowledged that the search warrant issued for Rosen’s material was approved “at the highest levels” of the Department, including “discussions” with Holder.

This is not the first time Holder has “misled” Congress. Documents obtained in 2012 by Judicial Watch, pursuant to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit, revealed that top political appointees at the DOJ were intimately involved in the decision to drop the voter intimidation lawsuit against the New Black Panther Party (NBPP).

That information conflicts with Holder’s testimony before the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies on March 1, 2011. “The decisions made in the New Black Panther Party case were made by career attorneys in the department. And beyond that, you know, if we’re going to look at the record, let’s look at it in its totality,” Holder contended.

The DOJ had initially refused to turn over the documents, contending they didn’t show “any political interference whatsoever.”

Judge Reggie B. Walton in Washington, D.C. District Court disagreed. Allowing the release of the documents on July 23, 2012, he declared that they “reveal that political appointees within DOJ were conferring about the status and resolution of the New Black Panther Party case in the days preceding the DOJ’s dismissal of claims in that case.
