Children who don’t get a pre-kindergarten education, ideally from birth to age 5, might fall behind and “may as well drop out” by third grade, Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius said on Wednesday at an event to garner support for President Barack Obama's $75-billion proposal to increase pre-school enrollment across the country.

I listened on the radio talking about this. Sebelius and Obama know that pre-k will not help. They have seen the studies. Yet they continue with their lies. Will anyone question their motives? No.

That’s odd. Kindergarten and pre-kindergarten have been around only a few decades, and yet prior to that we had startling prosperity, innovation and inventiveness. Things like the airplane, electricity, tractors, locomotives, computers, the Internet, the transistor, etc. Why that list is almost limitless.

“Children who don’t get a pre-kindergarten education, ideally from birth to age 5, might fall behind and “may as well drop out” by third grade...”

They may indeed have a 3rd grade education by the time they’ve reached the age of 16.

Children would be indoctrinated into socialism/communism from birth. That's the plan. We're getting more like Hitlers Germany by the day.

The left will do anything to make our children the property of the fascist state. So far, they've managed to get the children away from parental influence through day care, pre-preschool, preschool, all day kindergarden, before school programs, after school programs, weekend programs, summer programs, and socialist media in between. There's little time left for the parents to teach their children real American values.
The children are being bombarded by fascism as soon as they enter the doors of the liberal school system. They're stuck there until they're old enough to escape.

This is why it's so important to home school, have someone else home school your children, or use a private school. In the end, the truly educated will become tomorrows leaders. They'll be the only ones who can read and write, and think far beyond the rest of the socialized zombies. The masses will turn to your children for leadership.

Both of my girls were home with me until they went to kindergarten and both of them knew their letters, both were reading single words. Now, I had to put both into private kindergarten settings because the oldest girl wasn't the proper age for "public" kindergarten. She was well mannered and could listen and take directions, plus she was reading; yet she was not going to be 5 until Nov. 3; so, sorry she can't be in kindergarten. My youngest was told that she needed "special ed" education (my husband had a total fit over that).

We put both in a private kindergarten and then Catholic schools thru grade 12.

My girls didn't need Sebelius's endoctrination beginning at kindergarten. They had a mother at home who spent time with them and read to them constantly.

you can't just start with 4-year-olds, but they're very important, you have to really look at infants and toddlers,

Marxist libtards want equality of opportunity.Government has to make sure that all children are raised equally. That will happen faster if traditional families and marriage are destroyed, and the government can take over the role of parent.

Ah... government... even giving it the most benefit of the doubt as your average sheeperal -

they create a problem by trying to solve another problem.

Poverty in single parent households “solved” by government handouts
which lead to destruction of the family which leads to poor educational performance -
“solution!” - more school programs to “help” kids.

Sebellius is advocating that our communist government get their hands on the next generation as soon as their births are completed in order to brainwash them against traditional America.

Why else would that vile communist witch suggest something like this?

Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs - the left is skipping the first step - physical, emotional security. By skipping that, the students will turn to anyone who promises to fill these needs - I.E., the nanny government will replace the inherent need for mommy and daddy.

Parents fill these needs after a child is born into the world. The parents give the child a sense of unconditional love and security. Without it, the children are ungrounded and frightened of the world around them. Fear ( real, imagined, manufactured) is a powerful political tool.

These children will be left with a huge void in the lives, and will then be easier to control, because they'll forever crave that need for love and security outside of themselves. When the first need is not met, all the other needs become distorted. The children cannot move on to the final stage of........individuality.

More likely kids who get punished for being kids will be the ones who drop out.

The ones who use their fingers like guns, kiss pretty little girls, play cops robbers and cowboys & indians, those kids.

How the heck did she ever make it to being Governor of Kansas? KANSAS!

Don't let the location fool you. Kansas is a hotbed of liberal activism. While the hinterlands are conservative in nature, the population centers like Johnson County, Wyandotte County, Lawrence, etc are liberal havens to the nth degree.
