Domesticated swine and Western Civilization go back a long way together. The domestic pig was being raised in Europe by about 1500 BC. Rome improved pig breeding and spread them throughout their empire. The early Christians increasingly abandoned the Jewish ban on the eating of pork by about 50 AD and its been the celebrated other white meat ever since.
Pigs and the discovery of the New World went hand in hand. Christopher Columbus took eight pigs on his voyage to Cuba in 1493 at Queen Isabellas insistence. Hernando de Soto brought Americas first thirteen pigs to Tampa Bay, Fla., in 1539. Cortés introduced hogs to New Mexico in 1600 while Sir Walter Raleigh brought sows to the Jamestown colony in 1607.
Frankly, the West and pigs go together like, well, bacon and eggs. Who hasnt enjoyed the cultural icons that are the three little pigs, delighted in playing this little piggie went to market with a toes of a small child, or stashed a few dollars away in their piggie bank? And who can forget such beloved childhood characters as Wilbur from Charlottes Web, Babe the movie star (thatll do pig), Miss Piggy, or Piglet from Winnie the Pooh?
Lets be honest, even the most finicky among us has to admit that a side order of bacon at IHOP isnt such a bad idea either.
But, alas, not all share our love for all things pork, bacon, and pig-related.
Piglets removed from agricultural exhibit because Muslim kids were stoning them to death

I think KC Kitty is Swinophopbic. Bacon!
So you think you can obfuscate your smarmy way out of this one? Bwahahahaha ... you’re the one who claimed to be Jewish and raled against eating pigs. I merely pointed out a practice of Jewish Israelis that murderers way too many alive unborn Jewish children. That in no way exhonerates Americans killing more than a million a year, but I was referring to the JEWISH state where the ‘rites of Molech’ are still practiced.
I won’t click your link.
And BTW, those little pigs are cute as all getout! But then most babies of the mammalian variety are cute.
Has no one Seen Pulp Fiction!!?

Geez!
More links. No thanks.
I watched the 4th season of “Arrested development” on net flix with my boys this weekend. Ever two minutes I had to stop and ask - I see you laughing but do you get the reference? No. It’s from a sitcom from the 1980s. The actor used to say that in that show. Oh.
The poor kids got like 1 out of 50 references. I have no idea why they thought it was funny.
Well if it makes you feel any better, Pulp Fiction came out when I was like 6 and I still get it’s references. :)
Oh yea, that REALLY make me feel better. (I was like 40 when it came out).
Aww, come one, try to tell us the truth, that you used “Goy” in a non-derogatory way. Bwahahaha ... and yes, fool, I know it can be used like gentile, but in my experience with Jews I’ve beaten the crap out of on the Golf course, they always use it in a derogatory way.
He was quoting a movie.
just sayin'
I am unable to digest pork products; the gastrointestinal distress is awful. It’s too bad too since pork is about the most reasonably priced meat available these days.
Pulp Fiction is a damn fine film, and a Very VERY famous one.
Normally F.R. is ahead of the curve when it comes to that sort of things.
Not this time.
What makes it worse is that if you have to explain a Joke, their is no Joke!
Bah, The pig thread is now ruined.
I harvested a feral descendant of the Spanish imported 13 pigs this last Friday in the Orlando area. Feral pigs are a bit of a problem here and you can bait them and don’t even need a hunting license to take one you. I took a hundred pound sow while she was munching on a big dish of old scrambled eggs. Needless to say, she dropped and bled all over the eggs. The others in the herd didn’t miss a snort and just kept right on consuming the red glazed eggs.....Even pigs like bacon and eggs!
To my disappointment, however, feral pigs don’t produce much bacon.
I am familiar with Pulp Fiction. The term “Goy” was not in the scene int he diner. He/she/it used that term for a reason.
While I have almost been crushed by one, so I don't follow her blindly.
