Would requiring criminal history on a job application for a government job or military enlistment be "violation of the Fifth Amendment?"
Of course not! That's because the 5th Amendment states, "nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself." The 5th does not cover required disclosure outside of involuntary criminal (police/court) proceedings.
It is not a crime for a felon to try to obtain a weapon and truthfully answers the question on criminal history. It is only a crime if he/she lies (just as it would be for lying on government job applications).

There is already a Supreme Court case that says exactly that. Criminals are free not to disclose that they have a firearm.
My wife was reading an article out of a Christian magazine to me last evening regarding crime in America. It said that drugs were the #1 crime in America. The #2 crime was HUMAN TRAFFICING!!! And #3 was the import and sale of ILLEGAL guns by the thugs! We cannot stop drugs and weapons from coming into our nation and they want to DISARM law abiding, working, tax paying citizens?!?!??! These people are fools. Plus, they simply cannot stop young girls mostly, run-a-ways mostly, from being sold as prostitutes! This nation is going down the drain. God has started to withdraw His hand of protection. This nation DESERVES the judgment God is bringing down upon it.

A SCOTUS ruling (whatever the particulars) that criminals do not have to disclose that they have firearms IS NOT THE SAME as saying:
(1) Laws against criminals having firearms are unconstitutional.
(2) Laws requiring disclosure of criminal history (outside of police/court proceedings) are unconstitutional.
(3) Laws against lying about criminal history on disclosures under (2) are unconstitutional.
Forget showing me the SCOTUS ruling you posted of. Show me a SCOTUS ruling on (1)(2)or(3)!
I hazarded to read a few of the comments at your link. Knowing huffpo to be hard left I thought I knew what to expect. I was amused with the very first one that suggested that Annie was off the mark criticizing difi because difi isn’t really a lib (or lib enough).
It seems that difi lives at the beck & call of the pubbies LOL.
