Rev. Audette Fulbright had emailed all state legislators, including Republican Rep. Hans Hunt, earlier this month to say she and her husband had just moved to Wyoming and were “seriously reconsidering” their decision amid the proposed expansion of gun laws.

“Ample evidence has shown that schools and guns do not mix, and in particular, guns in the hands of amateurs/non-professionals is extremely dangerous, especially in any highly-charged situation,” Fulbright wrote. “To expose our children to greater risk in their schools by encouraging more guns on campuses is something that we cannot allow.”

Fulbright also said she was concerned about “the profoundly serious dangers of fracking” and said the question of whether to leave was “wrenching to all of us.”

“I know of other new-to-Wyoming families in similar contemplation. Your choices matter. It would be sad to see an exodus of educated, childrearing age adults from Wyoming as a result of poor lawmaking,” she wrote.

Rep. Hans Hunt’s response? “By all means, leave.”

It is comforting to know that there are younger patriots who still believe in and stand up for America's heritage of self determination and free enterprise.

One serious reason why denominations are dying in America is their trusting the pastorate to ignorant, dull-witted mediocrities like this "reverend."

Generations ago, the town preacher was likely the most educated person there, and was accorded due respect. Today, this woman might be the most poorly educated person in her church.

Well said, Rep. Hunt! Better to have such idiots leave now before they over-run your state.

Good answer! Hope this is a sign of more serious resistance to the ignorance of the left!

Though the headline might be somewhat blunt, the context is more measured. He suggests that Wyoming's approach to governing is based in large part on limited government interferance. The new (liberal) immigrant is accustomed to more government control.....a government her liberal tendencies largely support. He was not out of line and made several excellent points.

Leftists are continually fleeing their fouled beds, seeking to take advantage of clean sheets. But as soon as they arrive, they start demanding a that the new bed incorporate bed wetting.

They have zero sense of cause and effect. In their world, everything the wish would happen is causal, and everything that does happen is incidental.

Oh this Reverend is something!! Here are a couple snips from one of her "sermons"

But back to Gandhi. When I began seminary, I had been a practicing Wiccan priestess for a number of years. Indeed, at the time I was the North Carolina director of WARD, Witches Against Religious Discrimination. However, my involvement as a UU in the Charlotte congregation had taken me back to my own commitment to appreciating, affirming, and supporting religious diversity and exploration; as well as my calling to serve a diverse, rather than specific, community of spiritual seekers.

There's more to the story, but for the moment, I'll let it rest on a simple fact: I didn't become a UU Hindu, and I chose Islam as the non-Christian religion I would specialize in.

Here's an excerpt of a letter from State Rep. Hans Hunt (R-Wyoming) to his liberal constituent Rev. Audette Fullbright. Hunt was the youngest member of the Wyoming legislature when he was elected in 2010. LOVE this guy!

Pic of "The Reverend" Fullbright posted in #11. Link to her autobiographical essay is posted in #10.

Excerpt:

I’ll be blunt. If you don’t like the political atmosphere of Wyoming, then by all means, leave. We, who have been here a very long time (I am proudly 4th generation) are quite proud of our independent heritage. I don’t expect a “mass exodus” from our state just because we’re standing up for our rights. As to your comments on fracking, I would point out that you’re basing your statement on “dangers” that have not been scientifically founded or proved as of yet.

It offends me to no end when liberal out-of-staters such as yourself move into Wyoming, trying to get away from where they came from, and then pompously demand that Wyoming conform to their way of thinking...

-snip-

... So, to conclude, if you’re so worried about what our legislature is working on, then go back home.

Well Rev. Fulbright, you can always move to chicago or dc if you feel safer around disarmed citizens. Of course I would recommend body armor to protect against those imaginary bullets coming from banned guns that only the undocumented urban entrepreneurs use to liberate you from your ill gotten (worked for) gains. Let's see how that works out for you. As for us unenlightened knuckle draggers out here in red map flyover country, we'll do just fine packing heat to keep the potential criminal elements honest, and always guessing if they picked the wrong target.

Lay it on the line and tell it like it is, Rep. Hunt.

Good on yer.

If she wants to disarm citizens, there are many other places she can go.

I don't care what religion she is. If she's right, she's right.
Radical, extremist Muslims spoke out against homos, but they were right, too.
That doesn't mean these people are right about everything, or anything else for that matter, but credit has to be given where credit is due.

The author of a recent piece said in response to this story that it is amazing how much energy people will burn up in opposition to the values of where they live, finally move on, and spend even more energy trying to convert the new home into the one they just left. Just goes to show that job or no, Americans have entirely too much time on their hands.
