Aaron Swartz, 26-year-old genius, computer prodigy, co-creator of RSS and Reddit, is dead.
Swartz committed suicide in the wake of relentless bullying and persecution/prosecution by Eric Holder's Department of Justice. Swartz was "driven to the edge" by the government's aggressive prosecution of a non-existent legal case. Swartz made public documents available to everyone -- this was his crime. “It’s like trying to put someone in jail for allegedly checking too many books out of the library.”
Put this in context. Obama's DoJ, headed by Eric Holder, refused to prosecute thr Black Panthers who violently threatened voters with billy clubs and night sticks at polling places on election day. The case was dropped, despite the fact that the case "was already won." This was so gross a violation of voters' rights and the proper function of the Department of Justice that one of its best and brightest senior lawyers resigned in protest: J. Christian Adams.
Obama's Department of Justice policy is that "no voter intimidation cases will brought against a black defendant where the victim is white."
Obama's pro-jihad Department of Justice refused to prosecute Muslim Brotherhood groups, including Hamas-CAIR, ISNA, MSA, MSU, et al, despite the "mountain of evidence" entered into evidence in the largest terrorist funding trial in our nation's history. Documents linked these groups to the funding of terror and murder of non-Muslims, and conspiring toward "eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within."
Obama's pro-sharia Department of Justice department is pursuing cases against cities and towns to enforce sharia in the schools, prisons, and workplace. Obama's Department of Sharia filed an unusual lawsuit against the school system in December 2010, not to ensure that the kids get a good education, mind you, but more importantly, to ensure that the Muslims get special rights and extraordinary accommodation.

He was guaranteed jail time...no access to computers or the internet, and no one in the gov’t was going to come to his rescue. What’s the alternate plan? His entire depended on access to the internet on a daily basis.

He may not have been to most people's taste here on FR, but the Feds were after him and he was facing decades in prison for "copyright violation" which consisted of downloading obscure content from inaccessible academic journals that nobody would pay for anyway and whose writers probably would have been glad of a bigger audience.
JSTOR is a horrible monopoly that has completely locked up academic journals and indeed many other sources. JSTOR is NOT free, and I don't know where the idiot writer got this impression. They charge something like $25 for an article from an otherwise unread academic journal. The money doesn't go to the authors, but to whoever runs JSTOR.
It's "free" if you're a student in an academic institution whose library has paid a fortune to subscribe to the service, but you're certainly paying in other ways.
I'd like to know who owns JSTOR. Al Gore, perhaps? It's obviously some group who is a friend of Bambi.

I agree with your sentiment Navy Patriot, but want to point out, so that more begin to understand, that today no one can claim how, or even that, 78% of any group voted, let alone how they voted. Our voting systems are entirely unverifiable. Both parties have at least permitted this destruction of our guarantee of representation by the people, and probably, destroyed our voting system's integrity so they could control the vote, as they most certainly do today.
How do I know? I designed secure systems for a living not long ago. As soon as one loses track, and by track I mean classical insurance of data integrity, at least checksums, and polynomials generated and sent with each packet of data to confirm that no bits have changed. With paper ballots the choices are best counted by humans. Casinos know every hand held by every client gambling. They save the data. We need to treat voting with as much care as casino owners treat the hands bet by their customers. Where computers, either scanners or touch screens are the data source, there is no audit trail, as engineering students have enjoyed showing for many decades, that they can introduce "hacks" or defeat the "security" of computers sytesm. Having ballots counted after they have been removed from the scrutiny of volunteer poll workers, after the polls have closed, and counted by SEIU employees, either by hand, or using machines maintained by the SEIU, working for state's attorneys general, the chain of integrity, the “audit trail”, is broken. Counts are irrelevant. As Stalin explained long ago, it is who counts the votes that matters. Our counting is performed by decidedly interested parties. SEIU employees have a clear fiduciary interest in the outcome of elections. How foolish is it to assume they will not follow the orders of their leaders? Any of them who would speak up would be putting his or her family at risk, not to mention losing employment and any pensions to follow.
The voting process today should simply be interpreted as a propaganda opportunity. Don't you think the left would like to divide the Jews who support Israel financially from those who support Democrat causes? Look who donated twenty million to Harvard just as Barack was admitted to Harvard Law, Alwaleed bin-Talal, who was, according to Percy Sutton, who proudly described his role in helping the Saudi’s most active US legal counsel, former black panther founder, former law partner of bin-Talal, Khalid al-Mansour/Don Warden, get Obama into Harvard Law. Khalid al-Mansour/Warden, has been dedicated to the Saudi Family and recruiting for Wahhabi Islam for forty years, almost since he graduated from UC's Boalt Hall in the early 70s, and opened a law office, "Bin-Talal, Al-Mansour". Mansour's funding of education programs for minorities, as reported by Vernon Jarrett, Valeries' Communist father-in-law, was in a 1979 Chicago Tribune article (follow Jack Cashill's article to Frank Mieli's discovery of the Trib article). Jarrett was a colleague and close friend of Frank Marshall Davis when they were both columnists in Chicago, and still after Davis's FBI scrutiny caused him to move to Hawaii in the late 50s.

Bin-Talal, representing the Saudi Royal Family, as well as the parents Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton's closest aide, has financed similar centers at Georgetown, American Universtiy, and three or four British universities. Follow the money. We don't need to know Barack's chosen religion. But we should know that his development, since at least Occidental, when al-Mansour mentions having met him, that his financial patron was the Saudi Royal Family. There is circumstantial evidence, Mansour's discussion of Barack's decision to become a US black (he had nothing to do with black history in the US, having been born a British subject to a British father) while he was still in Hawaii, before Barack's book was published, suggests that Mansour, close to Malcolm X, whose attorney was Percy Sutton, all of whom knew Vernon Jordan, one of whose closest friends was Frank Marshall Davis, that all these major players in Black Nationalism, Wahhabi Islam, US Communism, saw an opportunity with little Barry.
With control of the voting process, the media controls what are presented as polls, and interprets the garbage reported as vote counts. Our pundits are bright people, but mostly people uncomfortable with quantitative information. Voting mechanisms are a mystery to most people. Those of us who work with secure systems know that voting systems are a mess, and that the FDA would immediately reject data presented without a possible audit trail. But who reads engineering papers and thesis on the frailty of voting systems? Time to wake up. Today our voting system is a myth. There are some votes with a measure of integrity because the systems are not controlled by the federal agencies, such as ballot initiatives in California, where black voters decided that marriage was between a man and a woman, or because a candidate could not plausibly have won. Remember Obama’s job before he joined the Illinois legislature. He was a trainer for Project Vote, an Acorn subsidiary, funded with Soros money. The end justifies the means. You have no idea how Jews voted.
The liberal Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that Romney had received 89% of the votes of American voters living in Israel. Israel is a more secular nation the the US - fewer Jews attend Synagogue as a percentage than in the US. Those who keep their US citizenship tend to be very much on the liberal side. We have no way of testing because we have no auditable votings system as the Israelis do - they use paper ballots and count them in public. But the claim about Jews voting for Obama sounds like propaganda, and probably is. This is just why Soros Holder and Obama control our voting systems. Everything they say or do must be interpreted in terms of their objectives.
