The numbers, brought to you by Breitbart, are real and from the FBI. I want to say I'm surprised, but I'm not...

Does a hammer with a composite handle get classes as an assault hammer?

Don't forget swimming pools! A child who lives in a house that has guns and a swimming pool is much more likely to drown in that pool than to be killed by one of those guns.

Very well. It's time for hammer control.
Every hammer gets a serial number.
No hammer can be bought without BATF&H approval.
There will be a 5 day waiting period on hammer purchases, to avoid heat-of-the-moment hammer killings.
No one may sell a hammer without having a BATF&H license.
Semi-automatic hammers are prohibited.
Hammers than can strike more than 10 nails without reloading the nail pouch are prohibited.
And that's just a start. We must do something about hammer violence!

If I blogged I would write a response to that “comedian”who said rifle owners are making up for this lack of “manhood”. My response would be related to hammer size and manhood. If you own a sledgehammer you are trying to make up for something. Who needs all the different various hammers? Why do you need automatic hammers, or nail guns with extended “clips” of more than 10 nails?

We had the deaths of two fireman here in Webster on the morning of December 24th 2012. The killer was a man who had killed his 92 year old grandmother with a hammer in 1980....bashing her head 13 times.
He was released after 17 years and lived here for 15 years with no KNOWN incident....until Dec. 24th.
He should have NEVER been released.

Does a sledgehammer get classified as a “heavy weapon” by Bill O’Reilly?

The FBI nailed it.
Violence and deaths associated with illegal drugs exceed firearm related deaths by huge margins. But that won't be adressed by the anti-self defense crowd. Be sure to use that term....because it really is about taking away your personal right to self-defense and placing you and your family and your property's protection under the full responsibility of the government.

I hope I don’t get busted. I have some concealed hammers in my truck.
To: mkboyce
After posting my original comment, I realized that the hammers in my collection consist of a 16” claw hammer with a fiberglass handle and a 40oz dead-blow hammer which is all plastic. Holy crap, I own assault tools!

I'll give up my hammer - when they pry it from my cold dead hand.
Actually . . . I hardly ever use it anymore in this Obama economy for home-builders.
Sigh.
