CHARLOTTE, North Carolina — Liz Wills remembers the unbelievable feeling when Barack Obama entered the White House in January 2009. Now she looks fearfully at the specter of his defeat by a Republican candidate she sees as gripped by the racist right.
"I'm old enough to have seen the 'black' and 'white' signs for bathrooms, schools segregated, you couldn't ride in the front of the bus or the train. I saw all of that. I lived through that," Wills, 73, of Durham, North Carolina, told AFP.
"It's not supposed to be segregated now but there's a lot like that still. Racism is alive and well and thriving," she said, speaking in Charlotte, where Democrats are gathering to formally nominate Obama for re-election in November.
Wills was overcome with emotion when a nation struggling to turn the hard-won gains of the civil rights era into real economic change for poor African Americans elected its first black president.
"There are no words that can tell you the true feeling. It was just so exciting. I didn't think I would ever see the day," she told AFP. "They were so beautiful and their hearts looked like they were so warm."
Her tone changes markedly when asked about the prospect of Republican challenger Mitt Romney ousting Obama after one term, an eventuality she said would be akin to a racist backlash.
"I would be depressed if Mitt Romney was elected. I have to be honest with you, I would be depressed," she said. "A lot of it's racism, we have to be truthful, a lot of it would be racism...

Americans, especially white Americans, put him in power! This fact proves they are not racists. But instead of acknowledging this and building upon the good will of the American people, Obama and his "peeps" have done everything within their power to destroy race relations in America and to continue to stir racial tensions against the very people who placed him in to power. They have, and must continue to do this on purpose in order to secure their power and in order to "redistribute the wealth". Obama is the racist and he is responsible for setting race relations back in America except now it is reverse racial discrimination.

I was raised to not care about race but to look at each individual but over the decades have found that race trumps everything to them.

A black man is president and he has failed because his policies are wrong and poorly thought out but has nothing to do with his “blackness”; there are plenty if whites just as wrong and just as foolish.

Today I am old enough to see Affirmative Action, Race based admission quota's, African American Studies, The BET, The Black Caucus, the NAACP, Flash Mobs, The Knock Out Games, Beat Whitey Night, No go zones in every metropolitan city in this nation. Majority black run cites in ruins of on the cuspid of ruin, A plethora of 'racist' & anti white blacks. Race based laws and policies. black political, lobbying and social groups of every kind imaginable and a list a mile long. So what was your point again?
She’s worried that whites are going to run around in yute mobs and beat, rob, rape and kill blacks without consequence when a white president’s DOJ is in power as blacks have done to whites when a black man’s racist DOJ is in power?
Maybe she is afraid that a Republican President’s DHS will name black liberals criminally insane and domestic terrroists as Obama has done to white conservatives and vets?
She can stop worrying. Unlike her liberal diversity racist power structure, there is no Federally funded and systematic white tribal group laboring to plot harm against her tribe. But in the view of the way history operates when a people embrace tribal hate and revenge as a lifestyle and culture, who can blame her for being “depressed.” Democrat Party diversity racism is as ugly and depressing today as it was when they ran the segregation system.

They should fear his reelection. If he is reflected, he will literally destroy this country, and a black man will never be elected to the office again. I think it was Walter Williams that pointed out that Obama was the worse kind of first black President, one that would be the last black President.

If blacks want to see real racism have them go live in Europe or Asia where entire mono-cultures exist...
