It was reported Monday that Special Prosecutor Angela Corey would NOT be giving the Trayvon Martin case to the assembled and waiting Grand Jury in Seminole County, Florida.
As it requires a Grand Jury to bring an indictment of first degree murder, the move by the Special Prosecutor takes the possibility of a capital charge against George Zimmerman, the man who shot Martin, off the table.
Of course, there is a SPECIAL prosecutor because Martin was black and, contrary to long standing tradition, he was NOT shot by another black.
Because such a radical departure from accepted procedure immediately elicited cries of racism from blacks across the nation guaranteeing Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would sprint to the scene and the nearest camerathe regular prosecutor decided to call it a day. Florida Governor Rick Scott then appointed Corey.
Coreys dismissal of the Grand Jury leads to a number of interesting possibilities.
Perhaps the Special Prosecutor was afraid the evidence, or rather the LACK of necessary evidence against George Zimmerman would result in no indictment by the Grand Jury and wanting to follow the safe, politically mandated course, has decided to file a charge herself, just to make sure.
Perhaps Corey is an honorable individual who knows that the evidence will NOT support a charge of murder, or indeed any charge at all.
Therefore, she took the caseand all subsequent blameupon herself due to a concern that, intimidated by race-hustlers and threats surrounding Martins death, the Grand Jury might return an indictment based principally on fear, an indictment which no prosecutor would be able to make stick.
Then, after months of preparation and a drawn out, media circus before the court, a verdict of Not Guilty would be pronouncedthe verdict Angela Corey

I am not even sure there should be a special prosecutor. I think Justice Scalia nailed that one accurately.
you find another.
they are looking.
All they need to do is pass an ex post facto law declaring racial profiling to be a capital crime. Then they’d get a twofer. < / sarcasm >
Probably she was afraid the GJ would not indict Zimmerman. This way she insures he gets arrested and leaves it up to a jury trial. Its doubtful any Fl. judge will dump the charge before it goes to jury. Fl. is one screwed up state.
I think the race hustlers are PRAYING that Zimmerman will get off so they can instigate race riots before the elections in November. Watch to see if this trial is fast-tracked in order to meet that timeline...
That's my take on it.
The furor has already died down.
My bet is that in a month or two the welfare class will have forgotten all about it and it can quietly be dismissed.
Wanted a "sure thing". Appease the "mob".
Florida is a fine state! Note the people that come here and screw it up.
Many people come here and make fine homes and families others come here to scam.
Example: Aileen Carol Pittman Wuornos, born in Michigan and Theodore Robert “Ted” Bundy (born Theodore Robert Cowell in Vermont.
“The furor has already died down. My bet is that in a month or two the welfare class will have forgotten all about it and it can quietly be dismissed.”
Yeah right. These race hustlers are still fighting slavery. That case was settled 150 years ago. This thing has only been going a month.
A "no bill" is substantially different that a simple refusal to indict and can result in discipline for the prosecutor including removal from office and loss of license to practice law, plus tort consequences for malicious prosecution.
No Grand Jury and the GJ can't screw her.
I don’t think the Presstitures will leave this matter alone.
There are ratings to be had by hyping up this issue.
Just like the Casey Antony media freak-show last year - this year promises to be even more fun with riots and cracker killings and more.
Stayed tuned. Film at eleven.
Do we really need a state-level Ken Starr for such a court case?
The local DA didn't charge Zimmerman because there was no evidence to support charging him. That's not an option for Corey. The evidence doesn't matter when the mob is calling for blood and threatening the well being of anyone who doesn't support them. She had to charge him because the politics require her to do so. We have moved from a system run by the rule of law to a system of mob rule.
No honor came from her jubilant speech.
Because, she was a afraid of a No Bill. The Grand Jury might have decided there was not enough evidence and refused to indict. Then, if she went back and attempted to get him indicted on lesser charges, it would look even MORE like this is a “politically correct” indictment!
We had this happen down here in south Texas. Joe Horn called to report that his neighbor’s house was being robbed. He told the operator that he has a gun and he will not allow them to take the stuff and that he was afraid for his life - as they might hit his house next. The operator said, “Do not go outside.” He went out, and on the call you here him tell them to stop. “If you move you are dead.” They turned towards him and he shot one of them dead.
Grand jury gave a no bill! They decided that Joe was within his right to protect himself and his neighborhood. The race-baiting idiots, Quanell X (Houston’s version of Rearends Sharpton and Jackson) demanded that they indict him anyway! At that point, the DA refused to do a PC indictment and that was it.
The Dems/MSM (same thing) have lit a powder keg, threw some kindling and boxes of matches on top and are hoping that it goes off to turn Florida over to Obama! The Repubs, instead of following the law, are trying to manage this crisis and keep if from blowing before the election! So, bottom line, she didn’t want the riots to start right NOW!
>> “Why did the Trayvon Martin Special Prosecutor dismiss the grand jury?” <<
.
Because they were not going to indict without any evidence. Can’t have a lynching without a rope...
Clearly, the fix is in and Zimmerman will spend most of the rest of his life in prison, no matter what the facts. The Florida prosecutor was actually drooling with anticipation when she charged Zimmerman yesterday. But at the most fundamental level, it was Zimmerman himself that screwed-up at the most basic level. When you carry a firearm you have to be especially careful to avoid a confrontation. Zimmerman screwed the pooch on that one. Carrying places an extra burden of responsibility upon s/he who carries.
