On March 17th, three white men were leaving an Applebees restaurant after midnight in Seneca, South Carolina. One of the men, Terry Moore, 32, of Macon County, NC, went to the bathroom while his two friends went straight to their car. When Moore walked to the car alone, he encountered between 15 and 20 black men. The men allegedly yelled racial slurs at him like "tree honkey" and "cracker," then brutally attacked him.
Moore's friends say that he was zapped with a tazer and then stomped on after he fell to the crowd. The victim suffered several serious head injuries including a fractured eye socket and a dislocated jaw.

Seneca police, working with the county sheriff's department and SLED, has apprehended six of the suspects. They are facing state charges for assault and battery by a mob, which is also more commonly known as second degree lynching in South Carolina.

I am not sure but I think I have never told that story to anyone else bur my date that evening. We broke up later that Summer but stayed good fiends which is fairly unusual

Today that same local paper does NOT have one conservative in the newsroom. They've totally missed the lessons of the 60's - all they did was switched victims.
I am almost 71 years old.
In my adult lifetime, I have had to show a handgun seven times to discourage potential criminal behavior directed towards me.
Never had to shoot anyone, but in every case, I was mentally prepared to do so.
So far, letting the “bad guys” know I was armed has worked.
I am a firm believer in the “Colt equalizer” theory of social interaction.

The law makers of South Carolina are as responsible as the perps.
They are the ones who make it illegal to CCW in a dining establishment that sells alcohol. The perps KNEW everyone leaving that Applebee’s was defenseless.

Thanks for your concern, Nan. There's no doubt that folks like me might wind up as collateral damage in a hot cultural war. Without recognizable uniforms, that's what happens when the shooting starts.
Even though I'm melanin enriched, I don't exactly fit the physical profile that most people associate with black urban terrorists. I drive a pickup truck with Tea Party stickers and an American flag on the rear window, and I wear a cowboy hat.
I also tend towards jeans, t-shirts and boots much of the time, so perhaps I stand out just enough that folks would pause before squeezing off a round at me :-)
That's a near impossibility. LBJ destroyed the black family with his Great Society programs of the 60s, and banished the black father into obscurity, if not total oblivion.
There just aren't enough father figures left in the black community to get a handle on the wild youth there. It's a problem of enormous magnitude, and we'll be living with the fallout for a long, long time to come.
No, they knew the victim was not legally carrying a firearm because Applebee’s serves alcohol. South Carolina’s current concealed carry law prohibits carrying a concealed firearm in a business that do. There is a bill pending to correct that problem. The amended law would prohibit consuming alcohol while carrying a concealed firearm.
As I was telling Nan, the shooting will probably start before anyone thinks to adopt uniforms. That'll create a whole lot of collateral damage, and guys like me won't be the only ones taking friendly fire.
Fortunately, I don't exactly fit the standard, black urban terrorist profile anyway, so maybe folks will pause a moment before putting the cross hairs on me.

The animals will then simply do a “walk through” to go to the bathroom or something, and take note of who is having a glass of wine with their dinner. THAT individual and their family will be the target.
Why can’t we have just one patriot in the SC Legislature who stands up and says: “I have read, and I understand the 2nd Amendment. The right of the people shall not be infringed.”?
