Obama’s BIG and growing problem: California will prove socialism doesn’t work

Among the many growing problems Barack Obama is facing as he tries to fool enough people into voting for him is the one coming from that weird place on the left side of the country called California.

Once a beautiful state filled with sunshine and the promise of a better life, California has been turned into a socialist gulag by Democrats who have infected her state government from top to bottom. Now it's the model for Obama’s socialist dream for all of America.

Because Democrats do what Democrats will always do when handed full control of a state, California is sagging under the weight of union contracts that provide up to 90% of base pay for retirees and a flood of both peaceful and criminal illegal aliens who are draining away the last few dollars the Golden State has.

With each month California’s tax revenue shortfall grows exponentially and therein lays a looming problem for Obama and his Democrat henchmen.

Since tax paying Californians are fleeing in larger and larger numbers BY THE MONTH, the formally wealthy California will very soon HAVE to come to Obama with its sombrero in its hand begging for a bailout.

This request will be a lose – lose for Obama. If he watches California slowly twist in the wind until she lifelessly falls to the ground he will further damage our national economy and scare the life out of greedy Democrats everywhere else. If he tries to bailout California he will be stopped by a Republican Congress.

That will force him to once again violate the Constitution with yet another Executive Order proving all of the charges of fiat government against him. Either way he loses because it will prove socialism doesn’t work.

The question is not whether California…..

California will soon be reduced to being a sniveling "spending junkie" wrapping on our window begging for food. It will be the ghost of Socialist scheme future. What do we do about California?

The liberals and the conservatives are real-live versions of the parable of the “Grasshopper and the Ant”.

The socialist rat paradise known as CA is brain dead and on life support. It’s only a matter of time before the plug gets pulled.

“California’s tax revenue shortfall grows exponentially...”

Can this possibly be true? I don’t think so.

This is why Obama and Jerry Brown will both do everything possible to just delay California’s day of reckoning until after the election. Accounts will be juggled and lies will be told.

No problem at all, California failed because they did not go far enough.
Reactionary forces (i.e. Republicans and rich whites) were obstructing Progress.
Does not matter how many times they fail, they will always find something and someone else to blame, NEVER will they admit that communism just does not work.

Yet, liberal Californians, who dominate the political landscape out there, think everything`s just great. If their thinking were different, Babs “Ma`am” Boxer and Moonbeam McPothead wouldn`t have sailed to victories as they did.

Exactly right.

Once upon a time, we had a pretty free market. The economy was strong and the country grew.
Then the Progressives started introducing bits of socialism into the economy, and then we got long-term inflation, trade deficits, and budget deficits.
As more and more socialism crept in, they started calling our system a "Mixed Economy".
Progressives keep loading in the socialism and the "Mixed Economy" got worse and worse, as government grew, business regulation increased, and free enterprise diminished.
Now our system, and the world's system, is on the brink of collapse.

Ask any Progressive: This proves that free markets don't work. The obvious answer is more socialism.

As long as businesses sell to California and banks accept the state checks, nothing will change.

CA may be on life support but thats not in any way apparent to the parasite class here - they've been completely isolated from the growing economic hardships.

The leftists in charge will squeeze the last drop of blood from the productive class in order to keep the parasites on the plantation.

Cue the not-at-all clever FReeper piling on (”GIVE CALIFORNIA BACK TO MEXICO!!! I HATE THE PLACE”) in three... two... one...

But at least you’re asking the right question: “What do WE do about California?”

Because it’s everybody’s problem, even if most prefer to hold their breath and stamp their feet and slam doors and insist otherwise.

New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Michigan: also unlivable because of Dem Socialist government and unregulated immigration. But nobody “hates” these states and wishes them “out of the union.” Prevailing sentiment seems to be, how do we fix our country?

But not in the case of California — only the biggest, most properous state in the union ever, with more natural resources any other state — no, let’s just let it go.

How did we get to that sort of 1861 regional hatred directed at fellow Americans? It can’t be weather jealousy. Can it?

My theory is most Americans are uncomfortable when confronted with the results of their shrugging off the abrogation of the Southern border twenty-five years ago. Because it didn’t affect them, just those jerkwads in California.

Well, it affects you now. As California goes, so goes the nation — and you forget that at the peril of your own state.

I’d really like a coherent, adult response sometime to his question that doesn’t go away, just gets more dire with each passing day.

A local CA paper, with some scary statistics for Californians. And when sensible people look at it, it’s unbelievable.

Tax the sh!t out of all the rich movie stars who live in Kalifornia.

Tax the sh!t out of the movie and entertainment industries.

Tax the sh!t out of the rich silicon valley execs and workers who live there.

Tax Oprah, her studios and her network!

They all love Obama. They all love socialism ... for someone else.

It sure is!

Exodus: California Tax Revenue Plunges by 22%

I have to say as a California native it's very sad what's happened there over the last few decades. Between illegal immigration and Dem "leadership" it's really gone downhill.

Broke? No way.....hell, we just got a brand spanking new fire station that 'only' cost $7,000,000 - and this is a small one truck sub-station.

Neighboring dirt-poor Coachella is currently grading for a new muncipal park and rec center, which will run over $5,000,000.

The spigot is still wide open and the bucks are flowing - in the public sector.

95 years of socialism around the world and it has always ended in failure. You would think they would learn, but then the definition of “Socialism” is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results each time.

Anyone notice how Cuba is still touting “The Revolution” fifty years after Castro seized power? He is still trying to make a FAILED SYSTEM work.

Fifty years after the US became independent we were an up and coming nation with no need to continue to make a failed system work as OUR SYSTEM WORKED!
