Progressives like to start Alinskyite argument[s] among free men and women to exploit their arguments of who is truly Christian. .in the process, they obfuscate their own Baal worship with its child sacrifice, obsession with feces and worship of death.
As a lifelong Catholic, I have stood the stones and arrows of fundamentalists and evangelicals accusing me and my faith as not being Christian. 2000 years of surviving one heresy after another and an infinite number of differences of opinion, I suspect God is working out his Covenant plan in spite of us.
As a (very) amateur theologian, I am also quite aware of the difference between Mitt Romneys Mormonism and other Bible-oriented aware of a wide range of beliefs among Christians, among Jews and among Muslims (heck, they even suicide bomb each others shrines on holy days!). We must each be discerned by our deeds and the company we keep.
In the end, I think Jesus put the argument to rest in the Gospel of Mark 9:38-42: John said to him, Teacher, we saw a man using your name to expel demons and we tried to stop him because he is not of our company.
Jesus said in reply, Do not try to stop him. No man who performs a miracle using my name can at the same time speak ill of me. Anyone who is not against us is with us. Any man who gives you a drink of water because you belong to Christ, will not, I assure you, go without his reward. But it would be better if anyone who leads astray one of these simple believers were to be plunged into the sea with a great millstone around his neck.
Our Constitutional Republic is desperate for righteous leadership

Well, plenty of people refer to them as beanies, maybe because they don’t know that they are called yarmulkes in another language. As for magic, I don’t know anyone who would call them that because Jews don’t ascribe magic powers or superstitions to them. Mormons, on the other hand, believe that the temple garments can protect them from evil. Seems to me that, by their superstition, they invite the derisive term on themselves.
As a Catholic, Coach should know that his church says that Mormonism is not a Christian denomination, that a Mormon must convert to Christianity, if not to the Catholic church, then to a Protestant church.
Baal worship included much to do with feces. Remember the Virgin Mary portrait with elephant dung, the crucifix in urine and the OWS crapping all over everything, including police cars?
“Progressives” like to think they’re free of gods - but they always find their vacuum filled - if not with an idol, then themselves.
The post was not intended to be religious, but to point out that we are being dragged into a real spiritual battle on “progressive” terms.
Putting aside the faith base of the candidates, all of whom are light years above the current occupant, the idea was to provide an indisputable authority to shut them up.
What do we get instead? Apparently 1st Amendment deniers who drag their sectarian interpretations into the argument. Good job! Jim Wallis, BHO’s “spiritual adviser” would be proud of you!
BTW, if I as “author” am to KYA, where to? Your Mom’s basement or at an OWS demonstration? You pays your money, you take your chances.
I’d say that’s an excellent response.
I’d only add that as we debate, we need to take control of the argument itself. I’d have added this to the end of that reply:
“And as we watch the Eurozone melting because of excessive debt and economists are increasingly turning their eyes to America as potentially the next Greece, I believe it is foolish to ask Americans, who are suffering under approximately 11% real unemployment and approximately 20% underemployment, to hand over more of their earnings to fund yet another socialist program. It is exactly these sorts of socialist programs that has led to the economic woes the western nations are facing. If President Obama cannot see past this reality because he is so focused on forcing his socialist policies on Americans, then he needs to be replaced with someone who can show us true leadership in this our time of crisis.”
adolph hitler declared himself christian and began a 'positive christianity' movement for his third reich...blending racial purity with christian doctrine
mussolini was a practicing catholic...fidel castro also claimed to be christian though excommunicated from the catholic faith...saddam had family who were christian and he claimed he held secret christian beliefs to diplomats when it served his purpose, his 2nd in command Tariq Aziz was a practicing christian, he was in charge of the atrocities against the kurds...
and we all know barack obamas a christian...maybe someone needs to remind him
Jesus judges those who use His name by their fruits...'by their fruits you shall know them'...the jewish exorcists were casting out demons and curing, not ensnaring the weak into a mind controlling cult...if they had, the phrase 'better a millstone be put around their neck and cast into the sea' seems to apply
what are the 'fruits' of the mormon cult?
lets try LYING, FRAUD and BLACKMAIL, MIND CONTROL, CHURCH AUTHORITIES CONCEALING ABUSE, just for starters...
i can fill this thread with thousands of testimonies why the 'fruits' of the mormon cult are destroying peoples lives...but I want to really be surprised and find one person who can get past their programming and do a mouseclicks worth of investigation on their own...im tired of carrying water uphill to mormon horses who don't want to drink (they just want to baptize dead people with it)
and one note both to mormons, the author of this article, and the poster of this thread:
you know what the difference between a mormon and a mormon apologist is?
'a person who lies hides the truth,
one who tells half lies, has forgotten where they put it'
“1st Amendment denier”? Where? Who’s 1st Amendment did I deny? I saw in your post an attempt to silence those who refute and rebut heresy.
If I misunderstood, my apologies, but gauging by the tone and content of your last comment, I don’t think so.
And with that, as an ex-mormon who has been born again, I’ll tell you again to come KMA if you’re promoting “silence”, since I’m not going to ever give up exposing the truths of mormonism when given an opportunity.
And anyone who thinks they’re going to try and use peurile, amateurish tomes to shut me up has another thing coming. Afterall, isn’t the 1st Amendment a 2 way street? I guess for some it is.
Oh, wait. Isn’t that like an Alinsky tactic or something? Yeah, that’s it the “ridicule” one when you have no other argument.
TTFN
Nice addition. bttt
You apparently do NOT go along with what your chosen church says about MORMONism.
WHAT 'challenges'??
THESE???
Do you really care, or are you continuing to advance Satan's campaign to distract from ROMNEYs religion, in efforts to destroy as many human souls as possible?"
Apology accepted. The purpose of the piece was to discourage tearing our candidates apart before the vetting process is completed. I stated I understood Mormonism and have no dispute with your experience. A family that came to our (Catholic) Bible study was leaving the Mormon Church and I personally witnessed the pressures they were under.
Since the intent of the piece was not to compare religions but to hear out the candidates. Certainly you have noticed Romney has never been able to climb above 25% acceptance. Maybe we have to give the Holy Spirit some credit for the gift of discernment. This doesn’t mean he won’t be the nominee, so my suggestion is to keep our cards a little closer to the vest.
As for who is kissing what, let me give you a metaphor: If you put your wife and your dog in the car trunk for a half hour, which one will be happy to see you when you let them out? Have a great weekend!
Fair enough, I misunderstood.
The dog.
I don't know where this question came from, but in answer...I would if the wearer was so stupid or deceived to believe that wearing such a "garment" was a requirement to enter the so-called highest level of heaven and checked a block for attaining god-hood. Not to mention protecting the wearer against real and imagined spiritual and physical threats.
Yeah, I'd mock it.
