From Miami, Florida to Seattle, Washington–
Every single Roman Catholic bishop in the United States has condemned in public the Obamacare HHS mandate — all 180 bishops who lead dioceses in the U.S. have spoken.
This is a simply incredible, unified, universal Catholic witness on this critical issue of religious freedom.
(To those wondering about my methodology, it is now negative instead of positive — I am no longer able to find a single Roman Catholic bishop who has NOT spoken out against the mandate publicly. It is also my presumption that this conclusion applies to all Eastern Rite and Sui Iuris bishops in the U.S.).

obamma does not care. There are more heathen than Christians he is thinking.
Including Anchorage, Juneau, and Fairbanks? Woohoo!
Are they opposing Obamacare overall or will they support it if they win the exclusion for themselves?
Redundancy Dept.
Aren't all RC bishops single? I thought so.
It’s my understanding that they’re not fighting for the exclusion for just themselves, but for all Americans. However, I would guess that there’s still an internal debate over withdrawing support for ObamaCare overall. Too many bishops have forgotten the Catholic principle of subsidiarity, which is quite compatible with the Founding Fathers’ concept of federalism.
Didn’t see this on ABC news tonight. But there was a feel good story nothing about Michelle Obama and a real hit piece attacking Santorum once even saying, “shows just how far right he is.”
The media is in full Obama worship mode now.
Catholics that attend Mass regularly care. The support of the Bishops will embolden and energize us. This is significant.
With respect, I think you will be surprised where this is going.
LOL!
I am one of many. At my liberal leaning Catholic church, who counts Newt, Begala and Terry McCauliff as members, there were resounding applause after the Bishops letter was read.
The Bishops are going to need to stay united. Obamacare section 1303 requires enrollees to fund SURGICAL ABORTION, with no exceptions for moral or religious objections.
It’s time that they excommunicate everyone who defies the Church on this.
The bishops need to play hardball and clean house of those who sabotage Christ’s teachings.
When catholic hospitals and schools start to close this will hit the fan.
This is just day one. Catholic church is 2000 years old. Obunga has plucked with the wrong people.
Here’s an idea for the Bishops: Get your flocks to turn against the anti-CHRIST 0bama!
I asked this question on another thread and didn’t really receive an answer. So, I’ll ask again..
If for some reason Obama drops this issue, do you think all will be forgiven in November?
I’m not talking about the conservative Catholics that reside at FR..but what about the more liberal members of the church that maybe up in arms now?
Plain and simple........
I’m not a Catholic, but AMEN!!!! Redemption perhaps?
Tis, a good question and I do not know the answer. One would think the bottle has been opened and the genie is out. In a normal world it could not be put back in but this is fair from a normal world.
This said there are many more things that will occur between now and the elections, so much that elections could be postponed? Greece default, Euro collapses, Israel / Iran, US - Syria friendly nations against Syria, Terror attack, US dollar failure (might be longer than a year, could be 3 or 4), Debt ceiling again...
To many factors but I would say they all work against O except the postponement of elections if that were to occur.
Wow... great news!
