I thought we had a NAFTA which covered trade between the countries. Why does it not cover this?

Are you serious? Nafta covers trade, not infrastructure and investment.

This is Krautie in his broken-clock phase. Most the time, he’s a “squish”.

The Weather Channel is busy ripping Republicans on it this morning, saying it would have at most created a couple thousand jobs, not worth Hussein’s time, apparently.

Stupid mindless Peas of Sh!t Hussein Heads.

I guess that oil is not trade by your reckoning. Consider Mexico building a rail line to merge with Kansas Southern to bring containers from their new port facility or building a highway to the border to merge with one here over which they run their unsafe trucks. To me, that seems like a connection. This clown prince we have as president is using our enviornmental laws in Canada. Similarly, when the Alaskan Pipeline was built, there was a huge battle over enviornmental issues which was a ruse. At that time it was whom was going to refine the oil, not whether or not the caribu would die.

Obama wants the final say so on cheaper fuel for extortion against America, its a brutal fact but the truth never the less.

Toddy its fuel, tomorrow its food.

It is not possible to care less what this self appointed, self agrandizing, know-it-all, faux intelligencia political pundit thinks or has to say about the issue.

That now cleared....question: the "oil" under discussion is from tar sands, yes? If so, does it not take much more energy to convert this stuff to usable fuel that normal or "sweet" crude??

If so, don't we (US) have better sources on the north slope and here in the US? Why are not we drilling for it? Where did the "big noise" go with the chant of "Drill, baby, Drill"??? Where (and who) are the candidates supporting the drilling option?

MY....how times do change??

I hope this is THE topic of discussion tonight at the debate.

Oh, I so agree. This issue is a winning issue for our side.

The difference between liberals and conservatives:

Conservatives look for ways to make a project reality in the shortest time possible.

Liberals look for ways to stop a project through the most convoluted, difficult process possible.

Progressives are not for progress.

So is Krauthammer switching to be the Official PIMP of
Team Romney, leaving Team Obama this week?

Huh? Nafta does not cover the pipeline proposal.

Even if it did, your president has turned it down. What do you want TransCanada to do now? Take it to court? Spend millions fighting the US government?

FYI, this is not the only multi million dollar bilateral infrastructure project that is being stalled by US interests. Google "DRIC".

Sorry, there is only one solution to this one, get a new president.

“your president has turned it down”

That would be in the grand sense only, I do not recognize that POS as my president.

I know I am grasping at straws here but I want someone to stand up to this POS rather than just rolling over each and every time he moves his lips which is only for political purposes or to advance his facist point of views.

The sooner, the better, my friend. Imagine how your republic will look after five more years of this guy.
