Yesterday, singer Tony Bennett appeared on Sirius Radio to promote his new album, "Duets II", and told Howard Stern we caused the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks by bombing 'them' and they flew the planes into the World Trade Center to tell us to 'stop'.
Bennett said:
Whos the terrorist? Are they the terrorists or are we the terrorists? Two wrongs dont make a right. He later added, They flew the plane in" but "we caused it" because "we were bombing them and they told us to stop."

Tony once did a lot of drugs and it’s amazing he is till alive.
He’s been coasting on his fame a long time.
I never considerd Bennett that good a singer, it’s just he’s about the last of a bygone era.
Sinatra, Dean Martin, Jack Jones, Mel Torme, to name a few were vastly superior to Bennett.
Wow! Very nice!
I translated your screen name and was rather surprised. Fortunately, I then visited your home page. :)
No, Tony. You did.
Did you mean Dean Martin was Italian or Dean Martin was an “Italian moslem”? Whatever an Italian moslem is.
Dean Martin was most definitely every inch Italian. Moslem anything he was not. Pardon my poor grammar.
**He left is heart in SanFran, but where in the world did he leave his mind?**
Seeing where he left his heart, his mind can’t be in a good place either. ;)
Thanks for the suggestion!
Tony’s been on a desperate, sad quest to stay relevant since the 90s, when he started playing alt rock radio shows. He thought the kids were into him, not realizing that they saw him as a comic novelty from a era they had nothing but contempt for.
These comments are intended for the same audience. The hipsters he craves acceptance from.
He’s basically the old man in the nightclub. Sad.
You’re quite welcome!
Wow, Tony Bennett said this?
I hope I run into him on the streets of NYC.
Oh, sheesh....and I liked his music....SHUT UP AND SING, you idiot. You should enjoy this blog post that Mrs. Peet called to my attention: Dance, Monkey!
Yep. “True Colors” eh?
