Henry Juszkiewicz, the CEO of Gibson Guitars, Inc. was on The Dana Loesch Show on Friday. Gibson is under attack by the the Obama Justice Department for accusations that the company broke American Indian laws.
Juszkiewiz said the government suggested that the company's use of unfinished wood from India is illegal, not because of U.S. law, but because of the Justice Department's interpretation of a law in India. The Holder Justice Department raided at least two Gibson manufacturing plants this week forcing hundreds of workers off their jobs. Juszkiewiz says the company lost a million dollars this week.
Finally, Henry Juszkiewicz told Dana, "The Obama Justice Department wants us to just shut our doors and go away." He says he will continue to fight for the Gibson company and its workers.

Gibson is non-union. The other companies are all unionized.
Metal Ping!

Wonder how the same lefties will feel when and if the obummer administration decides to enforce the Islamic law against music.
You must be thinking of the same candidate as I. Should she choose to run...
There was a time say 20-30 years ago where all the bands would have joined together in spreading the message to their audience to put a stop to this. And it would have worked.
Gibson should be investigated...for charging upwards of 2 grand for guitars that won’t stay in tune.
Caveat Emptor. and try to sell that to the hundreds of artists that make mega-millions with the product.
Not American Indian....the word American has been struck through on the original article.
I believe that are likely referring to Indian rosewood and possibly mahogany that are widely used in the construction of high value guitars.
Exactly so. Most high end guitars use Indian rosewood and other exotics for resonant qualities. And have for years and years and years.
It’s Amazon wood they are looking at now.
Sounds like a combination of Chicago thug politics, shake-down, and usurping the Judicial branch (as usual). This also smells of being a favor to the unions.
It would be proper, if Obama was doing his job properly, for his executive branch to serve a company with notice that it was breaking a law. Lawyers would then argue whether or not they actually WERE breaking a law. Judges and juries would decide, then fines would be paid if need be, and full accounting of those fines would most likely occur.
Obama short circuits the whole process. He becomes his own judge and jury, and fines the company an effective instant million dollars in losses. If the company DOES pay this administration a actual fine to ‘make it all go away’ you can bet the money ends up in re-election coffers.
I bet they do not like his wife either just a hunch she looks like she could have a nasty streak.
well said. is there a “fascism clock”?
Yeah prolly
Pretty much what he has done with the immigration, healthcare and nearly any other governmental process with his executive orders et al...
