Henry Juszkiewicz, the CEO of Gibson Guitars, Inc. was on The Dana Loesch Show on Friday. Gibson is under attack by the the Obama Justice Department for accusations that the company broke American Indian laws.
Juszkiewiz said the government suggested that the company's use of unfinished wood from India is illegal, not because of U.S. law, but because of the Justice Department's interpretation of a law in India. The Holder Justice Department raided at least two Gibson manufacturing plants this week forcing hundreds of workers off their jobs. Juszkiewiz says the company lost a million dollars this week.
Finally, Henry Juszkiewicz told Dana, "The Obama Justice Department wants us to just shut our doors and go away." He says he will continue to fight for the Gibson company and its workers.

For an accurate historical illustration where Obama’s commie/marxist infested administration is taking us, I heartily recommend to everyone who has not, to read Ayn Rand’s “We The Living”.
It’s not just the Liberty Mint any more, is it? They made the mistake of putting “Dollar” on their bullion, and the government came in and confiscated tons of it (silver and gold).
The one thing I remember about Gibson Guitars is that their product manager is Rick Olsen, former guitarist for the 1980s new wave band Berlin. They showed him hard at work at the main plant in Tennessee (which I believe is the plant raided by the Feds). He gave VH1 a tour of the plant during one of those “Where Are They Now?” specials about 5 years ago or so.
See #22—the CEO of Gibson donated to Republicans. A competitor who uses the same wood isn’t in trouble, but has donated to Dems.
How fitting, as for much of his career Frank's main axe was an SG. Something tells me that the Obozo admin would like to make that guitar contraband (rosewood fingerboard, mahogany body and neck).
Sadly, Frank probably would have voted for Obama if he were still alive, he could never get past the GOP=Religious Zealot stereotype.
That would be an interesting situation for owners of 'classical' instruments, like violins, violas, cellos, and basses. Many of those are 'vintage' instruments. Take Stradivarius violins, for example. They are prized so greatly because of their unique 'bright' sound. Probably comes from the wood that was used to make them which grew during a extended cool climate, and the growth rings were very close together.
I'd like to see the Obama administration try to 'confiscate' any of those instruments from major classical music figures in this country.
I was hearing today that other companies with the same lumber are being ignored by the Obama thugs. They donated to his campaign.
Does the U.S. grow ebony? No. They imported ebony from India, followed India’s laws regarding such, but the U.S. decided that their interpretation of India’s law was MORE correct and come down on Gibson for it. (well that, and the fact that the CEO was a Bush supporter)
This is nothing more than Soviet-style/mob-style pressure. It stinks, and you know what?....there is NO ONE HERE TO STOP THE THUGGERY!
Any conservative CEO would say the same if the government tried regulating them while a democrat was president. As a musician, this simply makes me less likely to purchase a Gibson. If I owned Gibson, I would put more importance in making guitars than politics and profits. It’s all about the music, right?
